cyberzomby wrote:Cant help you with that my friend as Im not an admin of TG servers  read better next time please! Its a rule on there server. Ive only been commander there once so dont say that I shouldnt do that ;) But to at least give you feedback on your argument. Whats better? An asset thats not used for a few minutes and than used to the fullest by an armour squad with engy support and experience from there last go. Or do you want an infantry squad that shifts 2 guys over to crewman and usually gets blown up because they dont know what happened with the last armour that spawned. ( Not saying its all noobs that grab them, just saying thats usually what I see. Theres good "random" tankers out there! )

Also: Sorry! My apoligies! Didnt know T&T didnt do that. I didnt say squads would get locked, just said that in TG a commander can set up some sort of agreement. I mean for example on Kashan you see squads with names like: Pilot, Armour 1, Armour 2. The squad leaders of those squads had a nice mission in there head at the beginning of the round. It would be nice if they can try and complete that mission during the whole game instead of just that one run.

I never make a pilot squad or armour squad and still I think its a good idea. When I was commander in Kashan and another squad wanted the littlebird from pilot squad I just asked pilot squad if the others could have a go with it. Sure no problem! Live and let live is the name of the game! Sure dont hog the chopper all round! But knowing you can take another run in it as soon as it respawns is nice when your here to fly right? Once again: Im not a pilot nor do I like to play armour squads. Infantry all the way for me ;) ( altough the occasional APC squad is nice )
It was a general notion, I wasn't asking you to do anything.

One of the reasons I play this game is because there's so many different things you can do on the battlefield. Having assets assigned according to squad names creates the possibility that players might be forced to play infantry for a whole round and that's ****. On a public server I want to be able to take a tank with 1-2 other guys if one is available at the time. If/when we get blown up and there's a plane available I want to be able to fly it.

My most hated thing is - the server rules say no solo-ing or ban, when there finally is an admin and then you say that someone is solo-ing you get kicked yourself. It's never good sometimes.

Being team-switched when you don't want to be, and not being able to switch when you do want to :(

@TheOak: I understand. And I agree with you. Not all servers should be like this and the TG server shouldnt do this all the time. Like I said: It depends on the commander you play with.

They made it static because it lagged the sh1t out of the server AFAIK.

the lack of fastropes....

But seriously. If I must choose between idiots running around on carrier or in main shooting randomly in the air or around you or passengers in my helicopter sitting deaf, mute and with no willpower to indicate where they want to go, I'll have to say BOTH! They are both my two hate-objects in PR.

That said, I can translate this to PEOPLE.

1. Al Basra server crashes
2. When being a commander, usually there is 2-3 squads who listens to you, others screw around doing their own business.
3. When there is 7 squads and zero RP on the map.

People waiting for the chopper despite the fact that there is already a guy waiting for the same.

Also this one time on Basrah, people was dumping ALL THE AMMO from the technicals in one spot. I watched one guy wait for one to spawn and drive right over and dump it at the other 5. I shot him since he was being a complete idiot and took he's car, and he managed to get a kick vote going by the pure zerging of his buddies.

This why servers need admins and not kickvotes :(

My single most hated thing in PR my country miles is the lack of visual situational awareness. It drives me up the walls that I can be killed by something that pops up outside the limit of my screen size.
