Well, thinking realistically and looking at the past (and the present times) with Israel and its surrounding neighbours and the very close relations between the US and Israel I do not think I could imagine Israel fighting the US or the allies of US. Also, the fact that PR located in the near future makes it very unlikely that these things would change in the near future.
Furthermore, I could imagine removing the whole MEC from the game and adding different nations like Iran or Syria on the OPFOR-team instead. Just a thought.

Well we can drop the idea of Israel being included in the MEC as they now have there own factions going. So I think its a non-issue now.

The more factions that get made the closer we will get to the removal of the MEC faction. Now if we never get a Arab or Iranian faction then they will continue to be grouped together as the MEC.

MEC speaks iraqi arabic so i gues they are iraqi ..

Ok, whats with the whole "Jews in MEC" deal? it would be possible after the "fat lady sings" or "hell freezes over" but thats all it would amount to, MEC is a (imo) Unification of a bunch of Middle Eastern, or Persian or even Arabs as a whole for that Matter (including Egypt) And they're after our tight asses because they're tired of them controlling them and strolling down their streets in our multi-million dollar tanks... of course not just the Poor arab or middle eastern states but also more modern ones, i dont know where people get the idea that all the Arabs have is a bunch of old rusty AK's and BTR's...
For example the UAE has over 350 Leclerc's, that doesnt sound anything Soviet to me.. Sure they have no Modern APC's at the moment but look at their Standard Rifle's G3's when Saudi Arabia ordered brand new FN F2000's as the new Standard Rifle's and giving them the old T-Class tanks, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams and together with them both they have over 1,600 Abrams, thats no little amount.. Saudi Arabia has AMX Class APC's as well not just BMP's since were giving everyone else their most modern equipment (Like the Chinese and The Russians, The Chinese get their most modern tank the Type-99 i think it was called even though they have 3 times more Type-59's and Russian T-90's even though Russia has 300 T-90's and over 5,000 T-72's) and they dont all have old rusty Migs laying around in their Hangar's alot of them Operate F-16's (UAE has the most advanced variant), UAE has Mirage's, Iran has F-14's, and Saudi Arabia has Panavia Tornado's and they Ordered over 70 Eurofighter Typhoons, this seems like a boring post but im just breaking down what MEC really is... More modern than what they think, and whats with the Whole "They're a bunch of Muslims" and all that, lets not turn this into some religious war

Its basically if all the Arab countries (Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc.) came along, put all thierd differences away and made something like the European Unions. Iranies dont really like Arabs that much mainly cuz most of Arabs are Sunni and Iranians are Shi'a. Indians are much the same Arabs and Indians dont get along at all. what the MEC speak is the "propler Arab" if you will. every one understands it and all news stations use it which is appropriate as oppoesed to making them have a specific accent (each part of the Middle East has its own accent so that Iraqis have a totaly different accent than Syrans)

why dont any games jst say tht the OPFOR in the middle east are the Iraqis primarily? heaps of games (bf2, armed assault, Cod4) hav had to fabricate enemies. why can't they jst b str8 up bout it?

Technically if your playing on the MEC side the US/UK is the OPFOR. And I believe its a US and Aussie military term.

That and the MEC force is a bf2 term that will hopefully be removed and replaced with something more appropriate.

I see your point but the fictitious MEC isn't like the real Iraq, that'd make even less chronological sense than vBF2 already does considering Iraq hasn't had much of a conventional force since the US bombed most of it almost 20 years ago.

It's meant to be some make believe alliance between several powerful middle eastern countries with advanced conventional weapons, just as implausible as the west invading China regardless of their nuclear weapons which deter any such conflicts.

That said I would love to see the silly vbf2 MEC idea dumped and have separate Iran/Saudi/whoever factions replace it.

But that's a lot more work for the devs, plus it limits/confuses the map locations (kinda like they've made Militia - Chechen Militia yet earlier maps were based in Georgia.)

Arabs - they speak arabic and they are quite dark. Darker than most persians.

the taliban in PR speak Arabic too when IRL they speak Pashtu.... so that could just be a little detail I eman it just may to much work to add different languades for 1 faction in 1 map ya know. If you look at Iranian military doctrine and equipment the MEC closely relates to the Iranian military, now as for Iran forming an alliance with some Arab nations to try to rid western powers and of course kill Israel. And hey after all Iranians are Muslim (90% of them at least) so forming an alliance with other Arab states (who are also Muslim) is not hard to understand (when enemies have a preferred enemy they tend to help to destroy that common enemy, it is debatable to even say Iran helped Iraq in the 2003 Iraw war and Afghanistan) ... To me MEC are...

Iran- the top country in MEC and the dominating country in terms of politics also a supplier of arms and equipment. But still having scopes on all weapons is a bit off IRL they hardly issue optics to regular infantry unless they are a DM or sniper!

believe it or not most of the other Arab countries really dont have to much of an issue with western powers in fact they rely on them for tourism, prime example Saudi and Kuwait!!!
