Wait, WTH does that have to do with this?Ca6e wrote:I`d like to say only this: in real life when u shoot with AK-47 your iron sight cover 1/3 of your visual sight. In PR0.8 is too small i think, must be much closer vhen you aim. In real iron sight on 100m cover the standing human.

Anyways, I'm inclined to agree that making the change to a static weapon map without any markers would be too big of a step. However, that doesn't mean we can't remove the map from infantry SMs, which is extremely unrealistic. I do agree with Vege, that taking the entire blue mob off the map might also be counter productive, but allowing at least to see the SLs location would benefit everyone. Of course you won't know if a single SM was killed simply by looking at the map, as it should be. There are many easy ways to communicate this, such as through the CO or teamchat.
I'm not saying I don't want to see static maps, I"m just saying it would be too great a change between builds. I'd almost be tempted to make a weapon slot though for a "D-DACT" system though, which would allow you to pull out your map, simply because people are able to open their maps nearly instantly, even while engaging in a firefight. THAT wouldn't have any other effect than to lengthen the map draw time, and I can't see any problems with that at present.
Yea, inter-SL voip would be GREAT, but it's not needed to take away the blue SMs off the map. Vehicles can keep most things the way they are, escept take the blue SMs off too. This wouldn't cripple gameplay, but would make it more realistic and add a job for the CO that isn't needed but would greatly benefit the team – better communications and tactic coordination.
