Alright I need to get things in order here im posting a larger pic of the Type 89 and I want people to comment on the datails or lack of details, but remember some things can go onto the texture so pick out things that should be part of the model. I need to get the main gun finallized before I can start on the different variations.

The next pictures I post will be the final model, so be thorough.

Nice model, but I have some considerations:

The front sight is a bit high, you should see it through that hole on the rear sight.

If you take some sides off the mag's body, you could model the bullet and it's housing. It looks WAAAY better than just a texture.

Close the barrel's end and put these polies on the left side of the gun, the one who players see 98% of the time.

Good luck! ;)

That is some good stuff, ill get on those changes as soon as possible. I've been quite busy since Tuesday with school so I haven't been working as quickly but I hope to finish the Type 89 and all its variants within the week.

Cheers! You're pretty quick at modelling, thanks for putting all the effort in those guns!

Thank you all for your support on this. I need to get some repairs done on my laptop, so I don't know how long I'll be offline. If you like the models current state I can export the model. If not list the improvements and I'll work on them before I send my computer in.

The latest model.

Wow, an immense improvement from the last pics at the top of this page! (Not dissing your old WIP, that's still awesome, too :D )
But I can't find any major faults now, I'll have to compare it to more pics

But would it be possible for you to model in the little holes in the mag, or would that raise the poly count too much?
Even if they're just small indents on the side

I noticed one big proportion issue. See the mag and the hand grip of the rifle?
The Mag looks too short. Try to enlarge it so that it'd look more like this:

That would be the only major improvement needed IMO.

Do you sleep ? Do you eat ? Well your job is amazing, you have already made the corrections 162eRi had pointed !
But don't sleep on your bay-trees as we say in French, now it's time for UVing and texturing... :-P

Can't wait for the Type 64 ironsight and DMR ! :D

But what's with the ironsights in front of the scope? Ain't it kinda hard to aim trough both? O_o
EDIT : nevermind! You did it! Awesome man!
