IDF soldiers are mostly Jews but there's also a fair number of non-Jews serving. Israeli Arabs do not, in practice, have an obligation to serve and most don't, but there's a number of them in the IDF.

A more verbose response --

Because the BF2 engine does not allow for weapons to be dynamically slung on the player model (See: ARMA, ARMA2, Call Of Duty: 4+) we must have a way of denoting players carrying heavy weapons so that they can be identified at range (It is unreasonable to simply allow a HAT gunner to conceal himself by switching to his PDW knife, or other weapon.)

im no expert on Russian weaponry in anyway but:

Modern Firearms - Bizon (Bison) submachine gun
Bizon submachine guns are in limited use with Russian security and law enforcement forces.
seems like it has no place in PR.

But isnt bizon the weapon the MEC have as AT kit in BF2?
But still its ugly, imo. They should keep the one now and just add an optical scope like the american.

Vanilla MEC just used all kinds of shiny Russian toys, like Saiga-12K which is not in use by Russian army at all (so as any other shotguns actually).
But still its ugly, imo.
UMP-45 is uglier)

BF2 also used the M24 for the Marines sniper, the Black Hawk, the Linebacker AA....BF2 did lots of military accuracy mess ups, dont trust it

I assume that every avenue has already been probed, but would it not be feasible to have a HAT appear on the back of the trooper in the style we have currently whenever he has anything EXCEPT his HAT out?
