oh and use the new arty system on some camping nubs.

First thing I'm going to do, is jump in a random server(with a low ping ofc) go as a normal riffleman(doesn't matter what faction, map or anything) and try out the new deviation sistem :firing hope for the best) . In project reality(curent version) , fun can easily be replaced by fustration when firing a riffle and then bad words start to come out "beep beep beep weapon beep beep deviation" and some other beeps.
After that I'm going to play the game alot... alot alot .

Its gonna be ineresting to see the anti personelle mines being used. More son on insurgency than anything else.I can sense some awsome ambushes.

One thing you should do BEFORE v.9 is check your HD for fragmentation. I just checked mine a few minutes ago and to my surprise I found this beast:



Now, I don't know how much it had been affecting performance, but I'm hoping it makes a difference. Because it was pretty bad.

Just one of those things you gotta keep up on I guess after tons of uninstalls, reinstalls of various games/mods/programs...

i use O&O defrag. it works together with the default windows defrag and improves it. great stuff.
btw okita, shouldn't you format yoru external to ntfs? was the first thing i did when i brought my 1tb.

What have you been doing with your HD?

Im jumping straight into online, keep my head low and learn the ropes. May go medic for a few days to get a hang of the combat (thats what I dont with .87) then step it up and work a rifleman, charge some mg nests with nades and storm a few FOB's with an ak and a few squadies.
Thats my plan!

Sadly, I was[still am] a noob when I got that HD years ago, so I have so much on there that I dont know if I can get it all transferred to reformat differently. Can you reformat in a new type without losing the files already on it?

Hah, I dont even know, to be honest, I just reformatted over the summer and really havent done much on it aside from just install a few games, uninstall a few... maybe I just really let it go, but from summer into school a few months I would regularly defrag... so I dont know how it got like that so suddenly Probably all the PR test installs and deletes and installs and everything hah

Sizing up just how much of a ***** its gonna be getting Combined Arms compatible with this mother...

(suggesting fast-ropes when the suggestions forum is unlocked comes at a close second though...)

Create a local server to fly the Chinook first, instead of going straight online to camp around the helipads and potentially crash them like the inconsiderate noobs surely will.
