yea ... see there arnt many maps i could see being revived would fit todays gameplay except ghost train was alot of fun

... mestia got old and has parts that didnt woork real well.. 7gates was AWSOME for its day but we grew out of it .. um... before peopl wanted helmand back but no WAY it would work today haha ..
what i want to see is ... ALBASRAH getting a complete OVERHAUL

lol keep the baisc layout but switch out some buildings and expand the city a bit ... make more smaller villages in the desert south of the normal village and to the East .. also add some smaller villages across the water + neer the airport..
at the same time increase the refinery to make it more like ohchimchura but not as large .. here are some pictures that share my idea that IS albasrah its self.

EJOD with a complete overhaul of the map. Keep the basic principles of the map but make it larger, more flags, more towns/buildings. Its good map it was just set up wrong (once one team gets a foothold in the city and starts to push out abit the other team is basically f-ed) . Sort of how ochiramara is now... only uses about 20% of the map. I get the reason for this (epic defence map) but so much wasted terrain

. Iv'e always wanted to have a fire fight in that town in like D6 or w/e.

Ejod, definately, that map was incredibly fun.
To be honest, I'd rather see some of the earlier versions of the maps we have now, Muttrah City used to be quite a small map, and it was pretty fun back then, would be interesting to see how it is now with the new assets.

a spam fest.
The mod had out grown muttrah v1 in v0.5 when we had little to no scopes even let alone what it would be like now in .9, there wouldn't even be any space to deploy firebases etc...

I suggest re-imagining, if the time allows, of older smaller maps and fit them into the 4 km scale. All of those maps were a 1 km^2 so you could fit 16 of them in a 4 km map...

True, you've got a point, what about stripping those assets away for just that map? I don't know, just a thought.

The warmup time is so large on the choppers the MEC can walk to the docks before the USMC get there and that's even with the USMC using littlebirds that have a shorter warmup than the Huey. That's how small the map is
It was fine when the choppers had no warmup etc but the map simply dosen't fit the mod any more, hence why I went to all the trouble of making Muttrah City v2.

I just remembered..... AA and RPG spam at docks on the old map.... how could I forget that? Christ, that was so mind numbing playing that map when MEC had the docks.
I don't want old Muttrah back after all
