I just wonder how Insurgent's and Taliban's armory is going to balanced out to these new optics ingame :confused: but i don't really care TI is fuckin awesome haha

Well they're getting the SPG-9 which should destroy tanks in a few shots. The Taliban are also getting G3's for the officer's primary weapon, IDK if other kits are going to get it though.

Sounds like a nice upgrade.

IIRC Insurgent leader now gets a FAL. I saw it in an image (i think) but I can't recall anyone mentioning it :)

I remember on the Unconventional Weapons Update a DEV said that Iraqi Insurgents were getting the FAL for the Cell Leader and Taliban were getting the G3 as their Officer or Cell leader or whatever its name is.

Will the white still be there when someone dies on thermal imaging?

Like it would be unrealistic if the white went straight away when someone died.

Dead people / destroyed vehicles still show up as hot until the body / wreck disappears.

And the reason behind this is that the PR implementation of FLIR works based on the fact that lighting effects are rendered differently for static, editor placed objects (prerendered) and those spawned during runtime, correct?

Which would also mean that all deployables would show up as hot on TI?

Night vision has been possible for a long time, SF had it, but the problem is creating whole new lightmaps for every object on the map or something like that. It had something to do with lighting being screwed up.

It will because that will have its own 'temp' he means the guns will sickout more because of the 'heat'. If white = hot the gun will be a white color and wire some grey for between. so you will still be able to see it. Unless thats a bug?? (I bet it would be fixed in the Alpha though.)
