Crysis mods should win every year. It's a lock.
FH2 does deserve a win though. They narrowly missed out between 2007 and 2008.

A good reason FH2 won is because of their awesome models and amount of detail put in to the mod. If BF2

R or ArmA II

R wants to win next year, in two years and so on - the mod has to look much nicer, i do not care so much about how a mod like PR looks, but their is definitely plenty of room for improvements.

Congratz to FH2! and
CONGRATZ to PR for the honorable mention, as stated, it's only fair since it won the MOTY in previous years.

If there is an area Pr needs work on, it is not graphics but optimization imo.

(The following is @PoisonBill; Ts4EVER ninja'd me) No, there actually is very little room for improvements, due to the high view distances, large amounts of objects, huge maps, lots of effects and things happening at any given time, and people already having performance issues.
Honestly, while I'm sad PR didn't win, FH2 certainly deserved it too. It's a shame we didn't make it, but look at it this way, we won the upcoming awards with PR:A2, will likely win MotY in, I guess, around two years with PR:A2, and eventually perhaps Indie of the Year with PR2. Still plenty of things to win even if they ruled out a second victory for PR:BF2. And we can rest assured that there'll be a honourable mention every year

Give the other mod teams their screen time, too. PR is so awesome, if it won every year the whole competition would become kinda pointless

what is wrong with moddb ?!
FH2 didn't deserve the prize IMO, Third Age and Nightmare house 2 was AWAY better!
Have to agree here. FH2 did not really deserve it that much... I didn't really care about PR too much because I saw this coming. but FH2? That's strange... I would rather have seen Third Age. FH2 hasn't exactly done anything game changing with their patches this year.

Guys, dont we all Enjoy Battlefield 2 is winning everything?
I mean, only 2 BF2 mods made it, FH2 got nominated for Editor's Choice - Best Multiplayer Mod, Fh2 won Player's Choice - Mod of the Year, PR got a Honorable Mention. Dunno if PR got nominated for something else, but hell, a Old game beating modern and "better" engines, that proves BF2 is still a big game!

Did FH2 win MOTY before? If it did like PR did, then THIS IS BULLSHIET! =(

happy to see blitz up there as it's my second favourite mod. It did to company of heroes what PR did to BF2 for me, kept me hooked and wanting more.
cant see why a mod cant win twice though, seems daft.
i mean its not like people will turn around to husain bolt, and be like. dude you won the 100m by like 3 seconds, but you already won before, so the guy in second gets gold
but hell whatever, PR will live and i enjoy it. and FH2 have got some awesome models i just personally wished the gameplay was more immersive for me as then i'd love it.
another not 30mins til christmas, have a merry one.
also did 909 and 957 not count as major 2010 releases?

What's the point of entering the contest if we can't even win anymore? Publicity? Congratulations to FH2, I guess.

To prove youre still the best.
Congratulations PR team and everyone invloved inn making this mod what it is.
FH2 deserves its place well (Though i voted for NH2, but still).
Will PR:V count as a new mod so you can win again?

Players Choice - Mod of the Year feature - Mod DB
If I read correctly it says PR couldn't win again, so it only got an honorable mention ?!?!

"It is hard to knock a good mod down, that mod without a doubt this year is Project Reality. However being previous winner means Project Reality has reached the highest point, so they cannot place again. Thats just how good PR really is!"
......thats just, hmm

Just because FH2 has a small dedicated community doesn't mean they don't deserve to win. WTF is wrong with this community? Over the last two years I have played both PR and FH2, and I love both mods. TBH I find that FH2 has excellent game play and is fun too. It wouldn't be fair if PR won every year as many great mods also deserve attention. Sit down children and behave. The FH team really deserved this as they have been modding since BF1942.

Wait which dipstick made this retarded system? "Mod must place higher than the year before"? So if you get idk 3rd spot then the next year you are expected to beat the voting?! Are they that daft?!
STALKER Complete not qualifying because apparently the mod didnt had a update since it was too busy chugging updates for CS and CoP Complete mods instead of SoC.
Whats even more retarded is that just the honorable mentions alone are better than the majority of the Top 10 spot holders (and no im not referring to PR...rather the rest of it tbh except for ZP:S based on how flawed the gameplay is in that mod)

So did we not make #1 vote-wise? Surely we had more votes than FH2, with all the ingame advertisement and stuff? I think they just don't want a mod to win MotY twice, at all. Which I can kinda understand, or would you want PR to win every year, or every two years? I mean, it'd be nice for us, but stupid for everyone else.

Can we see the ammounts of votes each mod got exactly somewhere?

I heard good things about FH2 downloaded, installed and booted up the server list to find a couple populated servers.... none ful. I didn't even bother joining a server.
I think they should post the vote count or the percentage of votes with each entry

thats the point, no mod is allowed to win more than once. That itself is not a rule however the rules say a mod must place better than previous attempts in order to qualify, thus it is impossible for PR to qualify again. Our voting was not about getting PR to win but rather keeping it known to the world as one of the best mods ever made and is still live and kicking despite an aging game engine.
