Beirut needs a heavier bleed...

We had Russia outcaped for at least 15mins before they ran out of tickets and the round had already been going on for almost an hour.

15 minutes doesnt sound incredibly bad, did they put effort in to a counter attack? or did they roll over?

I usually dont bother with a counter-attack. Even with a small/slow ticket bleed you'll lose to many tickets to ever get back. Add to that the tickets lost with the counter-attack.

Iv been away from PR for a couple of weeks, and when I return there is a 116 player server! Im sure this has been said a billion times already, but I would like to personally voice my appreciation. I had a game on the server last night and it actually wasn't a great match, but that's because of the squad. It could feel the potential though, even after only 10 mins of playing. It felt like a proper war.

A huge thumbs up guys! I don't know how you managed it but damn its good! You gave me a second christmas last night when I discovered it.

The dedication to this fantastic MOD never ceases to amaze me. Bravo! :)

And you still have time to harass me ).)!!! jk haha!

Anyway, is it better than 64 (ie. better SLs/more opportunities...)?

Best server ever. This must become the standard of PR play. The infantry game is simply amazing with these numbers.

I find the play odd on here.

Very hard to get a squad together where everyone talks/spawns in the same place.

The SL channel was virtually silent last night.

Constant reports of 'he nicked my tank', many voipless and mumbleless guys abound.

Awesome to see it PW'ed with a good CO though.

Yeah the level of teamwork varies somewhat throughout the week it seems. During the weekends it's mostly a good game though.

I'll give it another go sometime this week.

Out of 8 attempts only one had massive teamwork when commanded by Wicca (the rest I was constantly tked and suffered hear bleeding). But I didn't enjoyed much when he ordered my squad to defend the Dam at minute 10 or so. After almost 40 minutes with my squad peeking through the exits and stabbing the walls I had enough and left (assigned a replacement before ofc).

Language barrier plays bigger role here. More people - bigger possibility they speak different languages. For example, yesterday I made "Mumble APC" sq. After few minutes (2 people joined my sq) "Rus Apc" and "Ger Apc" appeared. IMHO, almost every problem you noted could be resolved by admining, excluding the fact that you can't change (or it's really hard) the way some non-english speaking player think. So good luck fighting the consequences :)

There will surely be some teething problems for a while, after all it is quite a radical gameplay shift. I say wait for a bit until everyone has calmed down from all the excitement of seeing lots of people in one server, and then they will start to play as normal again.

Also the bug where squad members names are not displaying above them sometimes made it difficult to keep together in a tight fire-fight near other squads.

But make sure you find a decent SL, who is communicative and willing to kick non-voip and stupid players, and you will have a good game. Surely 2 extra squad members cant change the dynamic that much providing the SL is being a good leader? :)

I was the SL...

I certified that all my members were in Mumble and for the most part they looked teamwork responsive (after all they did endured those 40 silent minutes). However I never got to experience the server properly on the only day I caught some good inter-squad TW going.

This is not a stab at the admins, Wicca (it certainly wasn't his fault, someone had to defend the flag) or anything else. I am aware this is just a test server and all the annoyances that come with it, however it drove me away when I'm used to PRTA, NwA or TG standards.
Nevertheless I'm willing to give it a go again, also curious to how it will perform when the 250 mark is reached.
