Well guess what folks! After a year out the game I'm back today! I will be online tonight after doing some training on the helicopters again for an hour or two (been a while since I've flown)

So if you see me online at anypoint in the future HOP ON IN chaps!

I'm certainly NOT saying I am 'the' best helicopter pilot in PR however I am 100% 'one of' the best pilots you ll ever see on PR and always do everything I can not to let the guys on the ground down and get them in and out safely or provide them with CAS where and when they need it!

I'm back folks so keep an eye out for me, I CANT WAIT to be flying you guys around again!!!

The Angel Gabriel!

you need wings??? Well call on the man who was born with them!

Name(s): *H5N1* Lemmy_Killmister & Le_Dudd
Role(s): Combat Engineer/Sapper
Map(s): Al Basrah & Operation Archer
Side(s): Taliban & Iraqi Insurgents
Comments: These guys are maniacs with IEDs and ambushes. At Al Basrah they were succesfull and also on Operation Archer where they Ambushed both exit of the Canucks' main base. Even when the chinooks made an Air Bridge with the Big Village they managed to make kills with their IEDs and mines. One of them even got 25 Kills! I covered Le_Dudd while he placed mines and took out some soldiers. But they got teamkills because we got noobs that saw the markers and still drove into the mines even when we warned them in the teamchat. If you see them in Insurgency maps invite them! These guys are maniacs with their Combat Engineer/Sapper kits!

Welcome back Gabriel mate, I remember you from when I was in =ETU= and can say that you really were one of the greatest pilots i've ever seen. Astonishing skills. Good to have you back.

My squad was under heavy fire occupying a 2 story building and we needed the back door downstairs covered as we all got ninja-knifed by 1 guy right before.

[MPN]LittleGuiseppi embraced his role guarding one door, not even looking away for a second(with molotovs coming in the windows) and refusing to be relieved as he was packing a shotgun. About 8 minutes later we get APC extraction, all alive.

Everyone else in the squad -Lemonology, emergencyLemon, rest of you(sry forgot names!)- also worked extremely well together.

Care2Four,Huns-something and Moose i think their names were, friendly teamleader from a French server...

We had some fun, and we sure died a lot. But the medic was a good one, Moose was swift on calling enemy positions and Care2Four was a real STALKER bro.

GOT SOMETHING TO SAY? IF YES THEN SPEEL THE BEENS, IF NOT, TAKE A HIKE

The majority of time I play PR (and that is a lot of time in itself!) I play squad leader. Because I play squad leader I get a feel for the skill levels of my squad mates as we play through a round.

Most players (60%) are medicore, they can do the job but they often arn't 100% with game mechanics or the deviation system. Maybe they're "good" but don't have voip. They'll perform admirably in certain circumstances, but I've lost many a game where my squad has failed to kill attackers who are walking into their prepared positions.

Most games will have good players, the core of PR. These are less in numbers than the "medicore" ones but you'll usually end up with one or more in your squad particulary if you have voip in the title. They'll use voip and perform well under most tasks but they'll be weak in some circumstances, like attacking an entrenched enemy aka HELL.

On occasion you'll meet great players, ones who can transform a squad from simply "getting by" to doing better than every other. They'll kill a huge number of enemies, communicate enemy positions with ease and take any role without difficulty. A squad or two of these is practically unbeatable in a normal pub game. Yesterday I was lucky enough to have:

Joe Pineapples

Without asking and everytime we encountered enemies he'd call out position and began to put supressive fire down. Now it's hard enough in a pub game to actually get your squad to start supressing a target they've already seen, let alone have them do it without asking. On top of this I was actually using bounding overwatch quickly and effectively because he offered to cover the second we got to a road. So he went about being a specialist and medic in two different games exceptionally. If a player like this gets into your squad, you are going to kick ***.

Guess how I managed to reward him?

I punched him in the face accidently while catching a civi between the two of us...

i would get v-pissed if he did that in my squad since i don't like givin away my position unless you were defending in which case this is good

We were defending, as insurgents away from the cache. If I wanted people to hold fire I would have told them. I always tell my squad to only shoot if fired upon if I want them holding fire as we move.

Updating list:
These following guys are funny, fun, GREAT teamplayers, have MICs and comunicate VERY well and use any kit. I've played 3 rounds with some of them before I CTDed on the forth. Played with them on Hardcore Insurgency server. Here they are...

DrKush CarbonKratos
Kram91 (I think)

And these ones I haven't played more than a round BUT they are the ones you need in your squad if you wanna win. Especially during an assault in the Mansion at Asad Khal as IDF.

[NL] Jeffus88 - very good when following orders. If it wasn't for him, PLA FOB would've never been taken down. Therefore, if it wasn't for him, US Army could possibly not win.

Chief.Bishop - Did what asked to do, was good at shooting his AR. Saved my butt once.

SwVoip banantjuv - Knew how to use the grenadier kit well (I think... I didn't actually see where his shots were landing :) ). Follows orders awesomely too.

spriteman - Did what asked to do, and did it well. Saved us as a medic too.

Nice playing with you guys. If it wasn't buy you all, RANGERS squad wouldn't be anything more than a bunch of guys driving HMMVVs around :-D

Cheers!

RANGERS, Lead The Way.
Havent checked the boards in while, lol. Anytime dude, I still remember that game. Great squad.

Player name: PaRoNi Pitkan and CBpr! Qside

Kit/viechle: In an inf squad led by myself.

Map and side: Qside in Ramiel then Beirut. Pitkan in Beirut. This morning, I think on 10th community.

Act of heroism/good conduct: While I expect and did receive decent comms and following of my orders. These two stuck out as particularly decent on both counts.

Pitkan also did some excellent work with the Russian HAT kit during an epic T-building defence.

We got best squad in both rounds, primarily because I didn't meed to micromanage or second guess my squad mates, so the big picture got a look in instead.

Cheers guys if you see this, and a great idea for a thread Mongol.
