Fix the Cover on the USMC SF kit. His cover should be a Garrison cover (link follows), not some baseball cap you could buy at Abercrombie or American Eagle (American clothing stores, very popular among teenagers).

Make it so that only the USMC who can drive the Humvees and MEC can only use the Vodniks. Just like it's with the tanks, choppers etc.

people tend to drive off by them selves and die alot handing the enermy free transport, think of just driving round bases running every one over as they hold down "E" thinking your friendly.

This thread is hugh and old, not knocking it though, and I have not enough time to read even a part of it. Lots of good stuff overall from what I have seen. Keeping in mind the limit of the game engine (not so publicly well know and the relm of the Devs) and time/effort/fun factor many of the good ideas just are not worth it. IF I had the time I would work backwards on this thread placing the ideas in a few areas; Ideas that step outside the bounds of game engine, ideas that would take too much time/effort to be done "right", ideas that could work. Then take the last group and sort them based on how many people are asking for it, how much joy/cool-factor it would bring the PR mod and go from there.

I am sure the Devs have/are doing this but just like to remind people there are lots of factors as to why your great ideas are not being used or talked about. They are great ideas but there are many others too that may be quick to do and add tons to the game.

Keep the ideas rolling though and many thanks to the Devs for the hard work (don't think this can be said enough!).

Game elements already have positional sound (Gunshots, vehicle engines etc). If there is a way to push the VOIP sound data stream into the game engine via an API, it might be possible. Streaming sound data is different to discrete sound files though.

sounds really interesting, but it would be kind of annoying if the guys had tons of interference:

It's also open to the abuse of them playing game sounds through their VOIP.

Although PSYOP music would be amusing, sometimes.

The Mod team should pick a "time" that the mod represents. Is this the Miltary of 1990 or 2000 or 2010?

Get as much video on IRL weapons and make sure that they operate that way in the game. Nothing more frustraiting than shooting the real deal and it acts nothing like it in the game, where the mod is supposed to be a reality mod.

Real weapon load outs, which means current combat loads of ammo.

Add in ammo caches "dumps" and get rid of the support guys carrying ammo for all weapon systems. Ammo dumps only give ammo to the players who hold that flag point. Also add a pause time so that players do not sit on the ammo cache and grenade spam.

Claymores need to be remotely activated. Claymore do not work like the ingame current version. While you cannot have a cord running to it it is not a motion activated weapon.

C-4 The timer option is kind of useless. Go back to the remote option and or have both. This way the player can choose.

AT Kits Use current AT weapons used largely by current military forces and then make them very deadly. Most AT weapons are one shot one kill.

All weapons need to be current to todays fittings. So if your trying to fit a certian time line make sure the weapons match. As of 2006 most U.S. weapons have optics mounted to them.

Kits should be simular to what a platoon carries these days.

M-16A4 "shorty" This is like the spec ops weapon you have now. But is pretty much standard issue.

M-16A2 with 40mm grenade launcher.

M-249 SAW

M-240 machine gun

M-24/40 Sniper rifle or M-21/25 "m-14 Sniper"
