There is absolutely no need to post fullsize .png images and quote them.
Are you serious? Even though I'm with you what comes to quoting pictures, this is a picture thread... First time anyone enforcing this rule here.
Normal threads are a different thing of course.

Aren't there water textures? Or at least some ways to change it?

Water in BF2 consists of animated normal map, color and other parameters that are custom defined for each map and the reflection of envmap. You could try to play with those and even create a new normal map or do some magic in the envmap textures but ultimately there is not much to make it look that much better and it's not worth the trouble imho.
Water is one of the biggest challenges in 3D graphics and even with the new graphics engines there are some major tradeoffs with looks and performance, even though there has been some major progress.
And I used real photographs there

Now for a pic:

Someone suggested something similar earlier IIRC.
I'll make more as I get new screenshots that inspire me to.

But as I'm playing less nowadays I have to rely more on other peoples screenshots; that is where you all come into picture!
It's always cool giving PR screenshots a bit more 'pop' and experimenting new stuff on Photoshop.

As long as you give me credit for it. And Zrix, it's his screenshot.
Also check out the previous edits in this thread if you haven't, there are a couple of cool ones too.

Yeah but promotional purposes, maybe with less editing, you know, you dont want to mislead too much, like other companies do.

It needs to be darker too. With that much rainfall the sun would not be able to penetrate so much.

I think I've achieved the feeling of speed quite well in that boat pic, don't know if anyone else thinks so but that rain coming straight down completely takes that away imo. And it's supposed to be a cold misty morning anyway, not raining
here's a new one, starring Koppero and Jati:
i know it's pixelated and stuff, it's heavily cropped.

Its too small
I demand more infantry ones, the Yamalia one was insanely good on that side-angle with the Leo in the background. Do some US Army ones with Strykers or Marines with LAV-25's etc.
If you ever need someone to model for shots drop me a line.
