BFHD Remastered3 PRO - PatchB

Summary

Battlefield HD Remastered 3 PatchB (PRO) is here!

Unfortunately it is a critical complete game patch and it's needed for official multiplayer support, but thanks to the community I could make those final tuning and definitive adjustments and fixes to BFHD3.

This is the one and only patch BFHD3 will need, new content will be released! But in form of add-on to put on levels folder.

The patch also brings critical fixes and major performance improvements and brings some cool new HD content.

NEW! HD Content and Poka-Yoke Installer/Uninstaller

BFHD PatchB now comes in a complete straight forward one-click and follow up installer. Dumb-proof for guys like me that always had problem putting BF to work. Everything you need will pop up during the process, just follow the lights.


Complete Re-Work on the Rip AMR sniper rifle

It now have HD color and bump textures with new HD specular and glossiness effect for the rifle and the scope.

Fixed base 3D model and added LODs for better performance

Added new 3D Lenses Model and HD textures for scope reticle in both views, now using Alpha transparencya technique.

Fixed zoom out after fire feature, to make it similar to other BF rifles (with zoom out after fire)

It was already using RBE Ballistic tweak file and projectile.


Full HD Ground Vegetation work on Shongua Stalemate

Found it didn't have my new water lily model so I decided to add it, problem was I couldn't find my HD water lilys anymore, so yep, why not do everything from the ground? And here it is, Shongua one of the most hideous map in the BF history is now part of the top most amazing league.


Re-Worked HD Vanilla Knife
self explanatory


Vastly improved Singleplayer stability & performance!

Found some problem in the AMR weapon and ammo/medick kit that were causing Single player stability issues, fixed them! Singleplayer stability and performance has been vastly improved!I was able to play every map I've tested till the end without a single crash!

Also bots will use the AT bazooka much less on infantry now


Performance Optimization & Fixes



Multiplayer stability is 110%

7-18% performance improvement due to removed extra geometries for thrown medic pack and ammo box, they now don't become a box with new geometry (6k Polys) when thrown on the ground, they remain at the same geometry than when you hold it in your hands and also have throw physics now.

Seems not much? make the count, 6k poly x 10 keep projectiles x 64 players...that is a huge ammount of polys for any engine. They also didn't have LOD's before and now they do. Plus the medic pack which also reduces in 1.7k Polys x 10 x 64, the amount os polys being processed.

Cleaned up duplicated textures and sound files and fixed some file patches, so the game uses a bit less memory also now.

Total game size is 200MB smaller (but now it includes new HD content and DirectX Redist so the pack stays at 6GB)

Fixed wrong game modes on ManshtuurHD 16 and 32 conquest game modes

Fixed old Terrain Shader black dots issue on some rare systems.

Reduced the infantry Lod factor a bit in every map for more performance increment!


Reshade 3.1 Update


Better stability and performance and now also works on 32 bit systems.


Weapons Dammage and tweak fine tuning

Reduced damage for Scar HSV by 7% and added 8% more recoil

10% more Sraw and Smaw AT damage with larger explosion radius and improved damage model and tweak/projectile files

Re-Worked Ammo bag and Medic Pack code, ammo bag now works how it was on BF2 Vanilla

Medic pack code is brand new and much more balanced, it doesn't instantly recharge your life to 100% after being shot by a .50 Cal.

It restores yours health as a progress bar now, so you need to hide to get restored and not jump around throwing packs. Of course the more packs you have around faster you will be restored.

Yes I've made some better mesh ones but they are heavy for the engine so they just received HD textures and normal maps and that's it.

Do you want to help develop PR or just advertise in our community modding forum? It seems like you answered a few of the developers' questions regarding some of your concepts but I would really love to see what you're capable while you're here. I'm sure everyone would greatly appreciate even the smallest of improvement to this game if you have any time.

Alright, I found this vintage FAV laying on an abandoned parking lot, remains of the Gulf war in mid 90's.

So as a retired Major with not much else to do I decided to take it through a full restoration process with a guy I met in Mashtuur.

I've already ordered in ebay some:

- Bilstein Coil-over suspension
- Front/rear Wilwood disc brakes
- New panel aluminum housing and instruments
- Real wood panel finish
- New wheels and Tires
- New original steering wheel
- Aluminum Engine Cover
- New winch
- Original brand new tail and head lights
- New aluminum Skid Plates protection
- Stainless Steel wheel nuts

And I also found a really nice craftsman to make some leather seats in Jalalabad

Main 3D Goals:

- Keep it low-poly < 15.000polys
- Keep it in a 2048x2048 texture
- Mirrored all the similar side geometry to use the same UV island, bringing resolution up to 40% with larger surface area
- Use pure 3D latest rendering techniques to bake real digitally generated high resolution PBR texture

As 3DMax 2019 is not able to bake PBR with anything better than Scanline render, I moved back to Blender 2.8.

And let the fun begin

Summary

This patch started with the idea of better 3D scopes for the sniper rifles, to fix some reticles accuracy and hit mark detection issues, but ended up with custom base pack of 77 weapons re-worked and improved. All new realistic sights, reticles, 3D Scopes and optics, as long with improved zoom animations for all the scoped weapons, also new Ray-traced specular Maps (Reflection) for most of them.

Added to the mix a lot of mesh fixes, new remastered fast attack vehicles, improved effects and sounds and you have the largest step in the infantry and weapons since the beginning of the Battlefield Remastered series.

Now BFHD infantry has more than its own realistic damage and ballistic environment (R.B.E.) but now also has its own realistic weapons and sights base pack.

All the new content uses the most advanced physical PBR ray traced techniques.

Improvements, fixes and new content

11 New 2019 3D scopes and sights: Elcan Specter, Barska RDS, Trijicon Acog Variations, Eotech Holo, Valdada Pitbull, Night Force Tactical, +3 Russian military scope prototypes.

16 New weapons available: M24 Night Force, SVD PRO, M14EBR PRO (long range scope), M14EBR-Elcan, M164A4 Acog, AK47 RDS, Imbel IA2, Russian made RPK by booly (iron sight), VSS Vintorez, AN-94 Abakan (LI-291 Prototype), Scar-H Elcan, M4 RDS, HK416 Eotech, UMP45 Eotech, Scar-HSV Acog and more...

BFHD own CH and MEC FAV Paratrooper vehicle, custom made from the scratch. Low poly for performance, but using latest and most advanced texture baking techniques. Full Physics based materials, procedurally rendered with raytraced Arnold and Blender Cycles using principled/Pixar PBR shaders.

All new redesigned w/ 1 pixel precision reticles and sights, lots of new realistic HDR 32-bit illuminated reticles, new 3D crosshairs and also all the old reticles, which still in use, were improved/re-worked with better resolution, precision and detail while maintaining the average texture size (as in M145, Prisma, PKAS).

3 new Infantry Maps with fast vehicles (16-30 players) game modes: Harvest Bridge, Kubra Fall and Wake Island Airfield Supremacy.

More detailed photorealistic Spec/Gloss and reflectivity maps for all the weapons! That brings graphic improvements and more realism. (Thanks to Demon from Pripyat for helping with the last missing ones).

Remastered DPV US/EU Fast Attack Vehicle, with 3 texture variations, custom made from BF4 DPV base model.

Improved and optimized Effects - lots of releases without going back to that dark place, so it was time. Better explosions, more sparks, debris, better timing and animation, more optimized performance (40MB less usage of video memory by sharing huge textures that were identical but with different names (sorry, my bad).

8 New Optic Lenses all Ray-traced generated, including polarized ones.

New smoke grenade effect, that is much more efficient and realistic.

Improved Tracers for all weapons, it’s now more visible and now all accordingly to the projectile size and speed. There are also some improved trail and tracer effects, for sniper rifles.

Go back on Recoil added to all single fire weapons to make more realistic recoil because of the gravity and mass of the weapon.

Muzzle Flash is now present in all weapons while aiming, with a more realistic and pleasant feel while firing. Also, the muzzle flash position in all weapons that were misaligned is now fixed.

Improved Sounds, all the impact sounds were improved to be heard from higher distances and a bit louder but also with better variation between the 3D sound radius, giving a more immersive and realistic sound experience. New Ricochets sounds with more types and variations. Special thanks to the Project Reality, which have been enhancing this immersive sound part for years and gave me some base and material to study and make a custom BFHD sound. I also borrowed the ricochets sounds and that's the only thing I've ever used or asked, so credits are given and I hope you guys don't mind, also Project Reality is the only game free to use anything they want from my game, just give credits, as I'm doing).

Improved 1P Hands/Arms textures and UV-MAP (all of them).

Fixed tons of weapons meshs and also all the vanilla stationary weapons that were defaulting to LOD1 since a 14 Y.O. bug (make them look like shit this whole period, with a much better geometry already loaded in memory).

Lots of optimizations and bug fixes, redundancies removed better n more optimized geometries.

Fixed weapons disappearing after 80m and re-worked all weapons LODs geometry and codes, also lots of UVMaps were welded, bringing more efficient use of the resources and needing less computational power.

Those optimizations were responsible for bringing all the new content and improvements without changing the game size or using more memory.

Re-Worked Wake Island map 2019.

Most of the weapons received new HD icons, some of them PBR rendered on Arnold.

New HD 2K mini maps for Wake Island, Kubra DAM and Operation Harvest.

Grass and Particles shaders updated from Pixel Shader 1.3 to Pixel Shader 1.4

Better Hit detection.

Improved Fast Attack Vehicles physics, handling, power, torque and gear ratio bringing much more fun to the driving experience, now it feels like a rally war game as well, Fast Attack vehicles are now a bit faster but drifting and knowing how to drive in real live are requirements, remember that handling on dirt, mud, sand, grass, gravel and tarmac are different.

I don't know how I've remembered most of it, it's an 1 year work for Patch F, there is some more stuff that I don't remember but most of it is surprisingly there, and I hope you guys enjoy it.

Thanks m8! Actually I'm not sure, i just added some of the shaders from 2142 and they worked and they make call outs for PS 1.4 instead of 1.3.... I'm no good with shaders so I think that it was an upgrade, grass seems to be rendered more smoothly btw lol
