I’m sorry, but this iron sight is very unrealistic. its realistic if you put a camera that can focus on both the front and the back sight at once. but that is not the case irl. I just looked down the sight of a classic army m16 right now and the front ring is completeky out of focus and blurry. The ring appears to be very thin because it is out of focus. Also, the whole sight (front and back) is very narrow and should only be about 1/5 if the width of a screen (not widescreen) the back of the sight should also be very blurry.

you should make the rear sight semi-transparent like it becomes when using real sights when the shooter uses long focus vision through the front sight to compensate for the fact that you can't toggle focus in a game.
That way you don't cripple the shooter when he looks down the barrel

Anything better then Whats on A2 atm....I'll take anything..Optics....Nicer iron...ANYTHING!
Also about the Hollow points.....I did a little Follow up on that rumor. I asked one of my In country Friends Via Email. His response and I quote "Its fairly common actually, very hush hush, but as far as my unit goes. Its generally just turned a blind eye to. Our CO doesn't at all like the performance of the 5.56, he doesn't support the act of modifying the bullets, but then again..nor does he give any effort to stop it."

They're a pain in the arse so they are, trying to aim and when you've worked out where the APC is it'll have killed you.

You're changing the ironsights for the gun, then?
Cool. Just don't have what happens with the QBZ, where the ironsights don't quite reach the bottom of the screen; this jars quite a lot and gives the weapon a fairly unfinished feel.

i'm not trying to be negative or anything, just go to a local airsoft shop and aim down the sight of the m16, you'll see the problem with the iron sight you have made. (the dice one is awful to)

wait.. didnt he just admit to the ones in the pic not being the ones in use???
the guy above him, whoever it was, made a really really good paragraph about how the sights should be... and i think he was saying "great job for guessing at exactly how they will be"
this is a good thing... or, at least how I took it...
you quoted what i took as good... thats what confused me...

of course the sighting ring must be blurry, and more narrow, but is a good explanation of how will the m16 change for good (the m16 ironsight on vanilla is soooo heavy), but i want to add something the front end of the sight (the thing with 3 sticks on it, yeah that one billy) it must be not blurry...why?
the extention of the barrel makes the sight to no to be so close of ur eye, if that is not applied on real life , u will see everything blurry.
another very important thing that seth proposed and i want to add, make the weapon less narrow and the sights a little more far away of the eye.
and yes it is kind of transparent (the ring) BUT ONLY IF UR SIGHT STYLE IS DIOPTERAL, if u aim with just one eye u will not see this transparency...
by the way katarn , cheers on ur work, finally im about to got some serious m16 sights
