Yeah but I have to go do free plumbing work for my brother and sister so no drinking tonight.
But my brother got box seats to Morrisey at MSG and that includes an open bar so I will make up for it on Saturday night.

BTW: Locks only keep honest people out.

Hardcampa.... I thought it made it clear that my mental state is whatever I choose it to be and I will relax or be tense at my own volition and I don't take kindly to being told what to do.

You vastly overestimate your impact on me and probably on most things.

AD&A has earned some respect on these forums, please stop with the $hit disturbing and let it go. Save your fingers and discuss something constructive.

Ah, don't read too much into this. I'm just fooling around, no disrespect to AD&A from my side.

Change subject or whatever if you want.

In response to the original poster, I think that the fact that they let anyone play this game without pre-qualification is both a good and a bad thing. Most people don't realize that this isn't just BF2 with a few extra bells and whistles. PR is completely different. Perhaps we need to make it clear that this is a game for the thinking FPS player. Anyone who likes the mechanics of BF2 will probably not like PR. Then you have people who see the "Reality" part of Project Reality, but have no real concept of Reality. Another thing is that some people could care less about playing in the spirit of the game and just want to "pwn" people and brag about their score.

I think we need let people know that playing PR, you have to have a completely different way of thinking AND playing to be useful or successful. Those who are willing to learn will adapt. Those who don't care and are unwilling to adapt or cooperate will leave due to not being able to "pwn" as a lone wolf or get the "uber' weapons kits because they've been kicked from their squads because they refuse to cooperate with the SL or the C.O. Between the game mechanics and people "strongly encouraging" them to cooperate with the team, things will come in line......hopefully.

@Hardcampa...... if you were the SL then I would have voluntarily put myself at your command.
If you prove inept in that position I would leave the squad.
That is one of the maturity issues that Ghost was talking about.
If you join a squad then you follow orders.
I have to admit that the same is not true of the CO.
There are not enough CO's that see the big picture and I will not always obey a CO's order although I will usually tell him why.
Case in point. a week or so ago on Mestia.
4 full squads ....3 trying to get West Tower back and my squad holding East.
The Brits were not hitting us very hard and the CO ordered us to attack the Brit main.
I refused, point blank.
I sent some people down the eastern border and whoah! what do you ...the Brits were flanking on up.
If we had obeyed orders the Brits would have taken East tower w/ little or no difficulty, destroyed the spawn and moved on.
I'm not saying the CO was a smacktard but it is far more complex to be the CO than it is the SL and SL have to think for themselves.

I would like to get a game where everyone follows orders to the letter and the CO bears all the responsibility and credit for a win or loss.
If he orders us to leave a vulnerable point and march 2K across the map through hostile territory, then off we go and we are slaughtered, he is at fault.
If on the other hand, he tells us to go somewhere and hide for a while and then coordinates a move with another squad and we overrun the enemy and route him, he gets all the credit.

Last time on Kashan...we were MEC and already got North Village with only US Outpost remaining to cap...and the commander constantly bitched, that I should get my infantry squad to North Village, but I refused, since the USMC kept coming back to Bunkers and we had our hands full getting rid of them...
So cmdr tells me to leave them, as they cant capture the Bunkers...something told me, that if they have infantry here and M1 Abrams overlooking the Bunkers, then theres something wrong and we need to hold our position.

Meanwhile, no one ever even thought of capturing the Outpost and all the armor, that captured N Village, went straight for the US Main, only to get raped, while USMC on the other hand managed to smuggle tanks over the whole map! I couldnt believe, when I saw M1s coming from MEC Outpost over the western desert :/

It was the same on Jabal, I joined, just as MEC was trying to recap Factory and City and the same a-hole cmdr was on...it was stone hard for us to hold the Bridge, while the cmdr moved his 1337 truck around and all other squads went for Dam

ArmedDrunk&Angry yeah that would be cool.
I have no problems following orders unless they're like: stab that tank.
I do have one thing that confuses me at times that can make me appear a smacktard =), that is not realising I've become a SL since the original SL left. A sound when you become SL would be great. Although I have no idea if that is possible or such.

One thing i will say for quite a few players I've played with. There are some very good SLs out there and playing on their squad is a pleasure. We need more of you.

And to those who play as CO, you'd better be good because this version of PR, even more so than any other version, requires tight teamwork and competent leadership. If a team is going to be successful, this is NOT an option, it is a requirement or you've already lost the match.

Back in the day, I used to play hockey and they had goalie clinics where the goalie was just blocking shots.
What if we set up a CO clinic, a very boring, set piece battle where the COs were the only one competing.
You would win by manuever with an admin to referee and the squad would not wander off and would not fire until told too.
It would not be a real battle but it would give the COs practice at controlling squads and setting assets where they would actually do some good.
I know its' just a BETA at this point but full games where the CO is placing assets that the team doesn't need isn't really giving the COs the training they will need.
