you really need to use a better detail texture for your tarmac, dont really look anything like normal road tarmac and if you compare it to the colour of your road far away (out of the detail textures range) you will notice a huge colour diffrence, which is cos the detail texture is adding colour which will look really odd when moving around.

I noticed that as well when I started testing last week and is deffinately gonna be re-textured to look more like a road as soon as I get together with Dr.Rank and he can show me exactly how to darken and texture the concrete.

thats looking much better but I would say that your colour texture (not detail this time like last) is a little too blue, needs to be more grayish
It may be in fact your terrain sun/sky colour (probaly more likly sky), just compare the road colour to the static pavement colour, have a play with thous settings I bet your sky is really blue, make it a little whiter

You guys were right, the sky terrain setting was on almost total blue. I tweaked that setting and re-colored teh road with a lighter shade and this is about as close as I came to getting the road to look realistic comparing it pics of the roads in Karbala. Let me know what you think of these settings and what needs to be tweaked... Thanks Rhino and IronTaxi and thanks as well MAINERROR and Fearosius for great comments...

What would still be causing it to look blue as far as settings etc... What setting do I need to focus on to get rid of the bluish color?

could be your terrain sun colour thou most likly still your terrain sky colour being still too blue, make it a very, very light blue, as in move its little gradient bar more towards the white.

yep thats looking fine there, probaly a good idea to make your sun colour maybe a little more yellow, also when you get your lgithmaps down it will all look alot diffrent and more natural

The road is too 'grey', if you know what I mean.
Apart from that, good job!
