Why is Muttrah City considered an old map?

Zatar wet lands. id like to see that map come back, it had a lot of variety in the game play.

Amphibious assaults, Tanks, helicopters, infantry warfare, jets , and desert warfare, all rolled into one very stream lined map.

Only thing that was bad about it was it was a bit too open and flat, especially the wet lands in the centre of the map, it allowed the armour to become to dominate.

Because the current one isn't the first Muttrah city we had in PR.

Also x2 for Zatar, although it's not listed since when this ancient thread was started, it was still in PR.

Also, I kinda liked Zatar of the few deleted maps I've played (only been playing since 0.7 or 0.75). That is, when the Marines actually managed to land, and a decent battle would ensue.

Operation Phoenix needs to return...I can just imagine the fights now with the new assets both sides have.

Greasy Mullet could easily still be a great map. I never figured out why it was released. CP Abadan was just epic back in the day, might still work. Helmand was very nicely created, but it was just a pickoff fest. You could sit with your scoped L85 and pick off insurgents at will. Only be worse with scoped MGs now. Sangin will fill the need ;P

how about some night maps with night vision?

I played Operation Greasy Mullet in AIX, didn't even know that PR had it too. Would love to play that map in PR.
