If I use any bit of any one elses work with permission, I always credit them, even if they dont ask for it.

Valerio it's just that they need proof that those models are yours. It's not about suspecting if you're taking other people's models and claiming them as yours or not, they ask for proof from every model maker(except R-Cons and R-Devs). It's just precautionary so PR doesn't have stolen models or models ingame that the maker didn't want in.

You can also send Rhino or me a private message if you don't feel comfortable posting a chat-log in the public area.

MSN convo wouldn't be enough, very easy to forge.

either get the guy who made these models to use his email account to reply to MainErrors email to say he dose allow, and dont use that stupid excuse of him not having good English when we know full well he dose, or be banned from the forums, simple?

PedagneMOD for ArmA and Operation Flashpoint

an italian mod of the Armed Assault game community.
Armed Assult is the sequel of Operation Flashpoint by Bohemia Interactive Studios.
I write to explain the position of Valerio.
Last days i have recived two e-mails one by MAINERROR on [email protected] and one (not really polite) by "Tristan Tkachuk" on [email protected]
This e-mails asked me if i have a collaboration with valerio. I have read this e-mails with a 56k on another pc, links on Safari broswer not loaded, so i didn't remeber and i have answered "NO, i do not collaborate with Valerio".
One morning ago i turned on my pc (i have returned by vacations) and i have remebered that Valerio asked me the permission to capture my models with 3Dripper or directely with O2 tool for another game.
I have said to Valerio "Yes, but you can only capture the models that i have totally maded by me".
So the Beretta rifle used in Arma (ar7090, pm12), various vehicles used in OFP (VM90, ACM90, FIAT6614, LVTP7) are completely maded by me. Other models have parts maded by BIS (the modders of the community have the permission to use the original game models only for the mods of the Arma).
At the end, the position of Valerio is substancially right but i suggest to my mate Valerio this (probably he don't know):
DO NOT use this part that are by BIS:
the soldiers
the grenade launcher in AR7090
the choppers (expecially the CH47) have many parts of BIS
the NH90 have not parts of BIS but is not mine (i have had the permission by othe modder)
other guns illustrated are not mine (i have had the permission by othe modder).

I hope that post explain the misunderstanding generated around Valerio position.
