AK-101 is the current placeholder...

I know that the APC is M113, just that BMP-1s are more used...

2nd pic isn't Congolese..

From what i read they have a very weak navy if any at all, a very weak Air Force, there Army has sever units but there rifles and armor are mostly unknown. Sounds like brummy has a big issue. ;)

Not particularly Soucy, as this gives him more creative boundaries, and means he can concentrate on vehicles, trees and maps, rather than weapons. Also means he can have more variation.

Also these guys aren't some small army:
Manpower fit for military service:
males age 16-49: 8,562,989 (2008 est.)
Thats from the CIA.

What AK is this?

TheScot666: Looks like the AK47 too me.

The only questions about small arms that remain are the sniper rifle and the weapon of the spec ops (guess crewmen will have AKS?). SV-98 (modelled by the Russian community mod team) for the sniper and some kind of pimp'd AK74 for spec ops?

Btw, Brummy. Why AK74 instead of AK47/AKM as main rifle? Judging from pics the latter is more widely used.

You could go ahead and give the crewman/specops the AKS74U from vBF2 MEC specops start coding it and such so it is ready for a new model.

If you are set on having the AK-74 as the main rifle you should contact GeZe and/or KP and ask for permission and files their iron sight version of the AK-74M as placeholder. Perhaps a simple reskin would cut it (not sure, not into the russian weaponery that much).

Just some thoughts on how to push things along at this stage.

Can we not include specialized kits for the Congo Army?? Spec Ops and maybe Medics should be removed, since the Congolese army is really a reputable army. maybe make it an army composed of sheer mass and ease of access.

/i hope were talking about the same Congo... the country with the largest UN mission to date, and continuous civil strife for the past 60 years...

On africa they have a lot of AP Mines, i would sugest to remove the C4 and put AP Mines instead.

No Claymore type, but one that you need to step on one to blow

I think I may want to start a mapping project for this. It would be a great experience. Looks like a great idea you have here brummy.

Well, Cryrak sent me the files, unfortunately I already had those, but they're server objects, no textures, etc.

I'll test 'em again.

Anyway,
