Good god. Can we give one a scope too?
I've seen it before. Not as if it's unrealistic. I've personally seen M249's with ACOG's and holosights, hell, I even found this online:ratlover232 wrote:Good god. Can we give one a scope too?

Im not sure if you understand what i meen, my point is that you can shot accuret fire even if you are not looking down your sight. Just beacuse you are not looking down your sight your gun will get a massiv recoil. But if you want to be able to see where you are aiming you should look down your sight, so what im trying to say is that you COULD look over your sight and use tracers to hit target irl.'[uBp wrote:Irish;756714']yea... except when they're trying to make a well placed shot they're going to be looking down the sights. I dont think we train our troops to be rambo's...
Sure you aquire your target but then you fire down your sights. You can shoot off your tracers...but you're still going to be looking down your sights while you're doing it.
Yes. But for the sake of anti-pronespam i think its fine the way it is. Now you cant run, jump down and instantly shoot without problems.Spaz wrote:Im not sure if you understand what i meen, my point is that you can shot accuret fire even if you are not looking down your sight. I agree I don't want it ingame but some guy said it was unrealistic, im just saying its not.Spec_Operator wrote:Yes. But for the sake of anti-pronespam i think its fine the way it is. Now you cant run, jump down and instantly shoot without problems.
He's just filling in the time. Army life can be very uneventful you know.[R-DEV]Chuc wrote:Yeah, he just pulls the bolt back then after inspection he pushes the handle forward.
I understand what you mean Spaz. You could do that irl as long as you hold the mg correctly. As for the game we have two positions to use, sights (with the buttstock firmly at the shoulder) and hips (buttstock not at shoulder). If you fire the Hk21 for expample irl prone, without the stock properly positioned you will have a hard time hitting targets. Keep in mind that it's 7,62 at a very high rate of fire. That kicks like a muleSpaz wrote:Im not sure if you understand what i meen, my point is that you can shot accuret fire even if you are not looking down your sight. Yeah I know what you meen you would be aiming down you sight but what im saying is that you COULD look over the sigth and there would not be a massive recoil just like ShieldBreaker is saying as long as you got the gun in the right position agains your shoulder you can fire without looking down your sights. And once again I don't want this ingame beacuse it would help the prone spamers.'[uBp wrote:Irish;757450']Ok spaz. i see what you're saying, i think we're just misunderstanding each other.
I'm just saying, i doubt you would have a guy in prone, with an MG against his shoulder, shooting, while not looking down the sights. It just seems that via training you would always be looking down your sights at what ever you're shooting at, not hopeing that you're aiming in the right direction.
Lol why is there no edit button so that I can edit my post when it looks like a 5 year old kid made it...Spaz wrote:Back on topic I think there will be a lot of prone diving anyway beacuse ppl will run around with the bipods down and as soon as they see an enemy they will prone and fire.
I never liked the small zoom anyway.. Works well in Red Orchestra so it might work in PR as well. I hope they actually removed it on all iron sights.Claymore wrote:The videos are mega cool but I'm getting worried by one thing. Was the zoom in removed when looking through the ironsights? I really like it when there's a small level of zoom when you look through the ironsights as it helps to compensate for the limitations of hardware - while you can see distant targets in real life, the lcd is only so small and runs at certain resolution. It may be even more noticeable for people that run BF2 with the widescreen fix that increases the view angle while making objects look smaller.
I think the zoom is/was there to decrease the FOV, simulating a "fixation" on the target while aiming with the sights.Claymore wrote:The videos are mega cool but I'm getting worried by one thing.
