It is still an anti infantry explosive devise that will be spread around on the map since everyone will want to deploy it and will end up in multi TK's and kicked/banned players from the public servers.

it will kill more friendlys than enemies
90% of trip flares i put down were tripped accidently by friendly, what's not to expect that happens to your fellow comrades?

Btw i just realised that this means that the Ambusher/Sapper no longer will have the RPK...
Or Will he have BOTH?
And will the normal insurgent kits have F1's? Or not? Is that part of the new kit variety thing you have in the other thread?

Yea and whos gonna see it(infantry dont have map on the screen) and i dont think that theyl check theyr map before entering each building.

You can set markers just like mines, its now up to the player to be dilligent and tread lightly.

its possible I found out from egor to have the explosion effect "spawn" a nade that will blow up a few secs after it spawns, so the effect would only be this nade spawning or w/e, but from what I'm hearing from the MA's most of these the sapper tweaks the fuse so that it goes of instantly in most cases.

Can it be made so that, when there is a marker, and someone still steps on the mine, the teamkill punishment goes to the one who died and not the one who placed the trap? However, when there is no marker, the one who placed it gets punished? That might make it a bit more fair.

I think it is the player's job to look where he is going, and the admin's job to ban whatever noob puts one of these down without a marker.
Problem solved, no extensive coding neccessary.

Well, if adnims always are there and can look at everything, thats great. But with so many traps (since the kit is unlimited) you'd need a lot of admins, and those simply are not always available. Though the coding might be a mit too much to ask for indeed...

Here comes in handy the TK punish sytem in most of the servers if you have 3 punished TK's you are kicked...

I don't think you got it;
Thing is, if you put down both traps and markers, it's very likely that noobs still won't look down, nor at the map, and will get you three punishes and a kick pretty fast. If you're unlucky that is.
