Some maps really needs armour. otherwise it only will be a deadlock. Karkand2 to mention one. and CP_Abadan. Those two maps really need armour. On CP_Abadan if you loose the bridge you will be pin down for the rest of the round. Whit armour you can deliver quite a punch back and hopefully retake the bridge. But I wouldn't mind even longer respawn times for armour.

No chance! :-D Not on any map, ever. 8)

I find Karkland2 and CP Abadan perfect with no armour and if the US lose the bridge they don't deserve to win anyway. :lol:

operation ghost train, when you upgrade to .4 :p

do u have Steel Thunder 16? that map owns infantry only :twisted:

We haven't tried Steel Thunder 16, could be worth giving it a go. I'm sure once 0.4 comes out there will be a load of new maps to try (right PR guys?? :) )

We do have a lot of maps in the rotation now, but for some unknown reason, particularly last night, it does seem to be crashing a lot, which is why some people may think the maps come around to soon, because once it crashes it reverts to the first map in the rotation again.

Yeah i'm sure we'll have that on in .4. 8)

We used to run Steel Thunder 16 but so often it ended in stalemate across the bridge from US main and it's VERY hard for US to get dam back even with good squad tactics. It's not really suitable for 50 players tbh.

My server has only been 40+ like 5 nights, but only crashed one time on one night.

My server only runs about 12 hours a day (~5pm EST - 5am).
It's a Linux-64.
Running 32 player maps.

Not sure how that compares with the other servers.

No we used to run them and they were boring so took them off at the request of many. There's just too much walking to be done to get anywhere. They were server emptiers for us. Sharqi is very popular on our server. It's almost always full. 8)

Karkland is good, hope there will be more city maps created in the future with decent junctions to defend and roadblocks to slow raping vehicles down, city maps can make a Mod.


unfortunately tonight there was limited teamplay, i'm not sure what was going on but when you are ordering squads around you get the feeling most of the time that the indicator system is broken because where you place a marker to tell a squad to go to they simply don't. so as they go round on LSD or mushrooms or whatever they are on, allowing flag after flag to be lost. i think there was only really one mobile team attempting to take flags, but 6 in a squad doesn't go down too well against the entire enemy.

Plus what is it with the medics? the only medic who practised his skills on me had shot me in the back to start with!

and what about asking for arty and supplies. we only fired 3 salvos and had one request for supplies the entire round yet the enemy were pounding us with arty. maybe our teams commo rose was broken or something? i was actually told to wake up and respond to requests for arty at one point, yet the person making the comment didn't check if i was dead or not. plus i had made a request for a medic/bodyguard to stick with me due to having so much downtime defending the rear all on my lonesome against vehicles that kept driving round and attacking.

i kept spotting the vehicles and couldn't hear any AT's going off. plus of 6 requests to blow bridges or plant mines i'm pretty certain only 2 were fulfilled. denials from squads near to the locations i wanted mining was strange, next person to die could have gone engineer, but no joy, just flat out refusals.

i'd have hung around for another game but i would have had to switch sides to avoid pulling what little hair out i still have.

Yep, IGI is kicking the $#!t out of other PR Servers, no more crashes so far, and almost full all the time, great job guys. Karkand (Vanilla) is one of the Best Map, without comparing the customs, and jabal and the other plz, do not put it, they suck, and the no armor thing is just great, u do not get whored everytime so keep it up.Btw the map that is after Karkand, which i cant remember the name, Suck Ball, plz take that thing out of there, it just boring as hell, some custom maps just suck,we gotta realized that, but Vanilla's suck with the exeption of Karkand.

Capacity has now been lowered to 40. This is to try and help with the issue of stalemates that so often happen. We'll put it back up to 50 in 0.4.

ive found most of the time in iGi on sharqi and your other 'full server' maps, there is very little teamwork, and generally it feels most like vanilla bf2...

its full all the time, but no one stays till the end of the round, because its very boring and just plays like vanilla bf2..

my two cents.

theres a lot of snipers, i wonder how many of these want to band together to create SF squads that go behind enemy lines silently and blow arty and UAV plus waylay enemy vehicles from being able to get up to the front? a mine tossed under each spawning tank/vodnick/whatever will frustrate the enemy no end. and if the enemy decide to hang back troops to take care of the SF squad then it's time for organised flag taking on the rest of the map!

Server is back up to 50 as it didn't like 40 for some reason. :-? Muttrah has also been removed as it's consistently the map that crashes. :(
