Heres a solution for apaches. The pilot would control the fellfires, and ffars. BUT the co-pilot/gunner would have the chaingun, but his secondary fire would be a laser designator for the hellfire. SO, an apache cant effectively kill tanks without 2 men. The pilot hovers, waits for the signal that something has been targeted, launches hellfire, and continues to remain steay untill target is dead. Now with this level of teamwork required and the dangers associated with hovering hellfires should be given their true to life capabilities. 1 shot to cripple a tank, and fast enough that a good apache team wont be in there horridly long.

What are the sides gunna be anyways, is it going to be current conflicts(US vs. Iraq/Aphfgahnistan) or made up future ones.

If the AIM-9X were modeled into the game I wonder how capable it would be in game. Watched a few videos and saw the missles hit targets behind the lauching aircraft. Though realistic, full sphere missles seem like a little too much for the game.

It's good idea of apache controling mod...
but a longbowl apache may have the ability to select target by radar...

Longbows do have the ability to select their targets.
Realistically, anything that is laser designated can be hit from anywhere on the map, no matter what direction the launching craft is travelling in, i dont see how this is anti gameplay, the targets still have to be designated.

ok, i posted this in the planet battlefield forums and i want it to be included in bf2:
battles in the city, in towns of china/m.e.
battles in the forests of china
battles in the deserts of m.e.
battles at sea, half way between china and m.e./china and u.s
battles in the air, with airplanes, helicopters
air to sea/ground/air weapons
sea to air/ground/sea weapons
ground to ground/air/sea weaponds
very balanced gameplay
weaponds that take skill to use
submarines, ships, planes, cars, jeeps, helis, landers, rafts,tanks,
defending missions - defending fotresses, old castles, bridges, dams..
battles on island between m.e./china/u.s.
battles over and through mountains - tunnel systems
maybe 'unrealistic' but all weapons for 3 nations equal, and it takes more skill, shots to kill someone, use ironsights
large tank battles over a large terrain
fighting in the sewers/subways maybe, underground tunnels?
What i want is origionality, equal balance and very very varied gameplay with each map having a different type of gameplay experience
i especially like the attack and defend missions like defending a fortress or a town, or vise versa.

what i want included in the mod is a naval force, like carriers and battleships:
what about carriers?, so that the u.s./chinese forces could have like 50 planes on there carrier and a few helis (like in real life where there are loads of planes on the carrier, not like bf1942 where there was only 2 stupid planes on a carrier) also, the carrier could have defenses such as aa, or the equivalent of aa, like heat seeking missiles. the opposing side could have torpedo planes or the modern equivalent, like air to sea missiles. -maybe a mission where 1 side has a carrier and the other needs do defend itself against enemy planes/bombers. -or where 2 countires have carriers, a long distance a part (lke coral sea)
maybe a large battleship, or whatever it was called, like seen in the iraq war 2 where troops where deployed of it, adn supplys brought in. the oppsing side could counter act this with mine laying ships, sea defence guns. -like omaha beech where trrops where deployed from a large ship in landers or inv. of the P.
maybe submarines where the subs could be placed in startegic positions and rockets, missiles launced from them. the opposing side could counteract this with other subs, underwater sea mines. and subs that hold 10 people that can be brought near the coast and deployed from there as an attack force or special forces or whatever.
missile boats that could be used like the artilalary is used, but on the sea and attacking ground/air targets. the oposition could blow these up with there planes.
ok... so, in a war these are real life situations, as these types of navy would be used (especially carriers as china might not be within flying distance, refueling distance. also, the carriers would have sling shots and those ropes on to catapult and stop planes from landing/take off.
maybe a mission where one force had to overtake a ship which is of naval importance to them
so, what do you guys think, wouldnt is be a fun aspect to include these naval forces in the game? i think it certainly would...especially planes being deployed from a carrier (and helis) and also troopse being deployed from a battleship in motor boats.

ok, i just hope and have faith in you guys that you will include a naval element to the game. midway, invasion of the p., wake are my favorite maps. it would be good to include the navy and also, because the bf2 game doesnt have it, i would definetely get the cool mod you guys are doing, because i miss the navy from bf:1942 and have been deprived of it from bf:v, which is why i went back to bf:1942. it would certainly make a great aspect to the game and i would be dissapointed if it was not included in the game, or a mod. its great to be in command of a ship. i have faith in you guys that you will create an awesome mod.

ok, well remember to tell the other guys that they should include a naval aspect to the game, and stuff like i mentioned, carriers, landers, battleships, torpedo boats, missile boats...
thankyou, if there is a naval aspect to the game (and i mean battleships, carriers, destroyers, friggites) then this will be an awesome mod, it would be cool to add this to the game...i would definetely download the mod if it did have the navy in.

will there be AC-130 ? i love to fly it in DC and when there are good gunners with me coalition usually wins gazala.
but its so annoying when people just fly it around the map with no purpose.
