i can still play most new releases on medium, too, so i'm hanging onto this rig a bit longer.

All the way up on Max I can't go any higher with anything including resolution.

All high except for textures.

Despite my NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS card with 518MB of video memory I play on low. Medium and higher is just too laggy.

I Know that to be untrue. I Had a 8600 GTS card. And it can play all map at 1920x1200 with X8 AA just fine. So an 8800 GTS will murder PR.

Same here. I'm wondering if it's a driver issue, because my rig should be more than sufficient to handle such an old title on all high settings, including lighting.

In most areas my framerate is fine on high, but I was playing Muttrah (I think that was the name of the map?) last night and if I went inside one of those multi-story buildings my framerate would take a nosedive. It was actually difficult to maneuver out of the building it was so bad.

I'm guessing there's no hardware occlusion on this engine, but even so...

Edit: I should note I'm running a C2D at 3.0ghz, 4GB of RAM and an 8800GTS 640mb. It should murder this game.

everything is maxed, love it now, as I built a new comp and let me tell you, after playing PR on low forever, switching to high it looks like a brand new game.

Everything high at 1920 x 1200 on a 24" IPS panel Dell U2410.

Let me tell you, its a different game when you use a professional panel LCD. OMG this game really POPS. The colors look so amazing, and there are even colors I did not see before on my old cheap TN panel LCD. The way other players look just feels different when everything is so sharp and clear. Dont know how to explain it. Especially the US Army models really look amazing. Definitely the BIGGEST difference in a games IQ I have ever seen.

I can play all high 8x AA 1680x1050 but I have to set my textures to medium or I will CTD every map change.

All maxed out on 1440x900

All on High 1440*900 but only 60Hz with this resolution...

High 1280*1024

Low, Medium makes me crash, High makes me lose packets.

But i put geometries on med just so i can be a good specialist on ins maps.

High ofcourse

Lights on low, shadows off, everything else high.

All high, minus textures at medium, due to common CTD.

I was low, but now I'm on everything high , 1920x1080 , AA x16Q (nVidia)
