The forced teamwork is created to force the player to use teamwork in a case which it wouldn't be necessary or needed IRL. While real teamwork is teamwork which effect is actually fruitful not required. IE soflam and jets.

If you dont force teamwork on players, there will be no teamwork. Countless games should have shown you that.

Anyone else who wants information on the more technical aspects of C4, or who want to know what other developers make of it - check out this page:

No not really. It is possible to create a game where players enforce a behaviour on each other rather then the game on the players. And which games were actually made for real human only teamwork? The environment needs to encourage it and any rules should be enforced by players themselves, that's why the community is very important. Does COD4 do that?HELL NAA DAWG I R TH3 UB3R SN!P0R AND I N33D N0 T3AM. Does ARMA do that without any add-ons? Well not really its more main streamed, but its closer.

it also sucks when people say "this engine is way cooler" when they dont even look at the price.

For what the Devs paid for the license, which is little, they got alot for its worth

This isn't a thread for a debate about how to encourage teamwork, guys.

I think you should use SCUMM for PR2

If you guys keep being wisearses, we're going to switch to QBASIC and you won't like that :p

What are you rambling on about?

All I said was "The graphics are WIP" and everybody starts writing essays about how I'm uninformed and I'm ignorant?

Seriously, what are you guys on? How is saying that the graphics is a work in progress and that they will look better later criticizing* ANYBODY?

Do you guys even read before you post?

That is what I'm saying, and everyone thinks I'm saying: "C4 sux, use torque"

When I never said anything CLOSE to that.
Sorry if I was to harsh I just saw most people critizising without having a clue what they where talking about, I have no clue about such mechanics myself yet, but I do have an idea of how such things works.

I am deeply sorry for getting to mad at you as you where the post I saw when I wanted to express myself :)

I meant reduce the destructibility if needed basically, not 'magically' optimize it where DICE hasn't.

I'm not convinced the amount of destructibility is the entire reason there is only 32 max players, as it could be a game play decision.

I think the C4 engine is a stripped down gaming engine means that the engine is only coded with alghortims and codes that tells the engine about terrain (like vortex, sound (read some amazing things like doppler effect was in the working from someone here) and so on. So what I think masaq is saying is that the alghoritms and so on is what defines the workload and from what I have seen this guy dont know his name again is like one of the smartest guys in the buisness so it would be hard to optimice something he already have omptimized.

Then the PR team decides basically everything from that. As there is no code or anything giving how a static or object may work in the game the engine just now that there is a static there with some textures, shaders and so on, but dont actually ahve any input on what the static are supposed to do or how to behave. All that is up to the developers. This is not what I know but how I believe it works. So what I think is that the devs dont change anything they just create it.

ITs like when a ambulance drive past you when its coming against you the sound is kinda higher pitched then when its going away from you, it has to do with the sound waves being longer or smaller.
