Yes I did. Can't tell whether it was precisely 3h or what, but it most certainly wasn't over five hours.Zrix wrote:Nice. Kinda Mirrors Edge-ish. But I take it you didn't model every building as well in 3h?

So you mean "commercial" work, or...? "Much else" can mean quite a lot. I'm just a bit confused about what you mean.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:That's in a totally different league to this kind of work to be frank.

I have just haven't posted much here.. 'Much else' is also quite the subjective term, I started learning this stuff about a year ago.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:cool, so how come you haven't made much else?
Edit:
Also, I'm lazy

Pretty good but if I'm going to be honest your quite some way off to making fully usable static with no issues. Would be good to see some edged faced pics but I think that some of the balconies etc might not be in line with each other and some other issues too but ye, would be good to see an edged fraced pic to see how its made. I also really need to make a tut on doing proper UVs as that's one of your biggest issues right now in all honesty. Seriously busy at the moment but will try and see if I can sort something out

Re: Show your models thread...(IMAGE HEAVY)
Thanks Doc!
And yeah I know my UVing stuff is terrible, but especially in this case as I just threw on some static textures to get an idea of what it'd look like and give it some interesting features for me while I work on it.
If it gets to a reasonable progress level, I'll make a little thread for it with all the edged faces shots and info etc.
I do look forward to that updated UV tutorial if you ever get to it
I know it sucks right now, which is why I haven't made a WIP thread for it... not sure if I'll even see it to completion. I finally got that garage one sent off to Pleym and if he doesn't have any feedback for me I'll get that thread closed off finally. In any case, I saw those misaligned balconies earlier, but that's not an issue because they're just copies that aren't instanced properly. I'm making a single apartment first and just cloning it for the mean time to see how it all looks. Those ones I clearly forgot to put the 'instance' checkbox on when copying.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Pretty good but if I'm going to be honest your quite some way off to making fully usable static with no issues. Trying to keep on doing 1 highpoly model a day and try more complex shapes.
1/3rd of the way in and some parts of pretty rough/pinched.
