Kill feed just shows you that someone got TKed, it does not give any indication of the circumstances. I have bad days for target ID in a Tank and a lot of times my driver will call out friendly positions as targets, which results in a bad time for some INF guys. If they were butthurt they could say "!R Murphy TKED me on purpose!" and without any more information than "INF-Dude was Teamkilled by Murphy" the admin decides to tb/kick me without even asking what happened.

That's not how you admin a server on PR. If someone kills a bunch of friendlies with a bad bomb dropped from CAS, or more likely bad Arty/Mortar strikes, you give them shit vocally and as long as said player takes steps to avoid TKing in the future all should be forgiven. If, however, you see a guy standing in main racking up TKs you can rest assured an admin WILL respond swiftly and accordingly.

Sure there have been mistakes made, any admin team in PR is trying their best to play the game (possibly SLing) and police the servers at the same time. It's not easy, mistakes are made and admins are sometimes quick to throw out punishment, but a smart admin will only apply a punishment forceful enough to correct the behavior instead of insta-banning.

TLDR - Not enough info from simple TK messages, admins need to investigate a bit further due to the ease at which you can accidentally TK.

Learning the differences between factions' kits is something that takes time. Until you've figured it out there's a simple solution; check your map.

Dr_Death wrote:Not flawless. Its very hard to know from looking at your map the visual distance and the exact direction. It gets harder then there is a friendly and an enemy just a few meters apart at 150 meters away and you cant tell wich one is who because in the map they are both roughly at the same spot
Then you hold your fire (which I know can be difficult at times :) ). Or look around you for a known friendly to compare his kit with the two guys you're looking at.

A smart player would not open up on a gathering of inf unless one of them was holding a LAT or HAT. Until the gunner holding the trigger has a positive ID. Threat assessment, and a check of the map, is an indication of a good player. TKing then crying about admins not taking time to check facts after a !K or a !TB etc is just passing the blame.

Although Murphy has a good point the analogy he used isn't a good one. I am speaking as a former PR player, admin and server owner.

We had a squad bug for a number of rounds last night. The admins were aware of it, but did not take action since they believed it was okay to have six squads for the BlueFOR team.

I understand why they chose not to restart the server; it was peak hours for HOG, but I come to HOG because its one of the few servers that still has some focus on teamwork and combined arms. Neither is possible with only 6 squads and a full server.

Best of luck fixing it.

Be aware of your surroundings always. Keep pressing caps for a quick view every min or so and you will know where the friendlies are.

Played 2 rounds Monday... (1/4) and had fun. But it gets very ridiculous when no admins are on.

Maybe it's radical, but when BASED has no admins available and the last one leaves we normally shut down the server and direct them to another server. I find that a good solution if you can't have the admins at that time. It's no shame and you're trying to give the playerbase a good experience after all.
And that's certainly not the case without admins on a full server.

Played a half round today.... or 3/4 and left.

BIJAR CANYONS. I'll sum up the Mec team... PATHETIC!!!!!!
Trans pilots were idiots flying into hot zones constantly. I think we'd have a much larger chance of living if we would have told the enemy where we are going.

Absolute garbage round. I'll try tomorrow (or friday) and see if it's better.

IS there a rule about first flag rushing?

And, would it be slightly possible if you guys maybe scrambled teams after like 2 steamrolls in a row? It would help with the reviews IMO.

Is there a reason why you let one team play as Russia three rounds in a row last night? Saarema, Nuijamaa and Beirut.
