has nothing to do with my PC...ive been running Bf2 at ALL medium and 100% draw distance with no lag since the first day it came out....so why lag now ? ...wooly-back-jack wrote:that wont be anything to do with the server or ping then it will be graphics settings or sound settings or both if it increases as the teams increase.

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT 256.0 MB memory (AGP i think)
and my sound card is built in SoundMAX Digital Audio...
I personally think it has something to do with the 2nd server and BR running

2 gig of ram would help you alot.
also try a spyware scan and defrag
and uncheck EAX in sound settings.
My system:
athlon 64 3500+
2048mb ram
256mb 6800gt
xp pro
also have onboard sound.

I used to run everything on high when Bf2 1st came out, the lag was only noticeable when 64player servers filled up and it was only at the start of maps.
Now I always play with those settings (Mods demand more from your system)
also try a spyware scan and defrag
and uncheck EAX in sound settings.

Hey Lads! Well done on maintaining a great PRMM server!
I do have one slight issue with a player who was on last night (name: AccordingToJim) who decided to tk me for the LB which I was going to use to fly my squad in with (they were delaying their spawn at the start of the round).
It would be great to get him banned to discourage this kind of behaviour. As you'll see in this little video I made from the battlerecorder file, he didn't exactly do a great job with his newly stolen LB...

He made no attempt to apologise and said he didn't care if he got banned since there is not just the one PRMM server.

oh my god, what a noob!
TK's for the LB, nearly crashes straight away then bails out of it..... at the wrong flag and obviously wants to spawncamp at mosque with the nooby M4.
What a lame player. It is because of people like him I get abusive then disconnect.
Another 3 days and he will be wondering why he cant hit nothing with that gun, that is the only good thing

So we're currently testing that thingy on our server. We think it's a good idea and will help to not get banned or kicked too fast.
