Ye Loke did a really nice job with this model :D

Also small bumpy, is anyone up for texturing this beast? Would like to get it into the texturing phase asap so we don't need to worry about it later, really good model for someone to start making textures from scratch on :)

Very nice model indeed :) I'd love to texture this myself if I wasn't still prepping the FMK-3 for its own texture. If nobody's jumped on it soon I'd like to give it a go. Can't wait to see this ingame :-D

He was thinking about it a couple of months ago when its UVs needed cleaning up before it could be textured but now he's busy with other stuff so he isn't able.


However I might have someone else looking into texturing it soon when he has time although he's a bit busy with a few other projects so we will see if he has time or not but hopefully he will :D

PR:F has no "team" per say just for it. Its more of a community based project, with anyone from the community (including Devs and Cons) can grab tasks as they wish so nothing tying them down or in any way having to feel they need to commit more to the mod after they have finished one bit of work which IMO, is a more effective system for a small project like this and opens up tasks to people who otherwise wouldn't have them available to them and also possibly wouldn't even think of helping out either.

Sabre and I texture, Tim texture's his own models which is what a good 3d game artist should do :D .

Ouch... Well, unfortunately, I might know my way around Photoschope, but I'm no texture artist, and me trying to texture this model = autoFailTexture() not to mention, I've done what I can, time willing, to make contribution in whatever way I could; just so happens this is what I've got for the moment, and I'll be tied up for a while... Like, couple of years.

I'd love to make more contributions, but I've got higher priority things that have been in the works for much longer which are just now starting to ramp up and pan out as expected, but I can't drop the ball on them now, thus I haven't any more free time for the foreseeable future to do anything with this, let alone do some of the other things I was hoping to also get accomplished for the mod.

Sorry guys, but as a consolation prize, here, have a halfway legit 1p model of a Bren L4A4 for the mod.

Loke I'm pretty sure Spush didn't mean it at all like that. I'm believe what he was trying to say was the ideal 3D Artist Models, UVs, Textures and even exports/codes his model into the game.

I personally for example am not a very good texture artist, I can do pretty basic textures but no where near as good as Spush, Sabre etc, but then I can also export models and do some coding where they can't :p

There is nothing wrong with a modeller not being able to texture or export their model etc, otherwise Spush and Sabre and many other devs would be a bit out of the job, just that the best artists out there, tend to do all the jobs themselves which normally results in a higher quality finish :)


Anyways as for your Bren, its texture is looking really good now. Not going to show it off as its still WIP and going to save it for later but trust me, its looking sexy :D


BTW Loke let me know if your wanting any more work in the future if you get time etc to do it as you've proven yourself with this model as far as I and many of the other Devs are concerned :D

Yeah, never meant to offend any one. I myself am novice at 3d modeling, and suck horribly at uv mapping. You're at a good place where you can model and uv map, depending if you're willing to sub divide your models since that's where most next gen artists are going. But anyways, that's what I meant, in the industry that's what majority of artist are capable of doing.

Good stuff... Yeah I just didn't want to be the factor holding it up. I have experience exporting vehicles, statics etc. Doing wreck models, LODS etc. Texturing would probably be my Achilles heel.

Its textured, just needs exporting, animating and coding which we will be looking into at some point in the near future :)

It also needs some 3p models and textures too if your interested on doing that Loke? Would save me or someone else having to do it later :)
