Hey Matty, we have told our admins many times to play underplayed maps more. The big problem is, the only concrete way to do so is to just set the map. If you put an underplayed map in a map vote you have to put in two more underplayed maps or it will lose. If you put 3 underplayed maps in the vote the whole server ******* about it. It's a real catch-22, to be honest. I will talk to the admins about playing underplayed maps more. As always, I appreciate your feedback! Hope to play with you again soon.

I am not shocked at all.... Other servers have a bit more of a variety, I don't understand why the NA server doesn't have a variety...

Had the best round of Saaremaa in a while tonight. Good squad leading and APCs by the =]H[= guys and al-Khidr did a good job as commander.

Has been a reasonably enjoyable experience playing on the servers recently, keep it up!
Stricter rules on player behaviour towards each other would be nice, but maybe i'm just a nancy.

'[R-CON wrote:Psyrus;2041924']If it were my ideal world, I'd append an extra bit to the Mech Inf rule, that the
squad leader can't be the one crewing the APC... so basically asset whores couldn't just pretend to be Mech inf and defeat the whole purpose of the rule. But that's just me
Well the advantage of having squad leaders crewing the apc (specifically in the driver seat) is that they can drop off their squad, fall back a little bit and give support whilst maintaining a rally point.
I think this is a good rule, and haven't seen it abused - even if it is open to it..

Suggestion for mapvotes:
Usually a mapvote consists of two votes. The first vote is on game mode and the second is the map. I think a lot of people (myself included) tend to vote INS in order to avoid playing 4km heavy asset maps, even though we would enjoy playing the 2km and 1km AAS maps.
So maybe votes could be done like this instead?
1. AASLRG 2. AAS 3. INS
AASLRG = 4km AAS maps with heavy assets
AAS = 2km/1km AAS maps + INF versions of 4km maps
INS = any INS maps
I've also seen a couple of admins let you vote for the layer (STD, ALT, INF, LRG) after the map is voted in, which I think is really nice because then we don't always have to play STD every time. Maybe this could become a more common thing?

How about !mvote USMC RUS IDF HAMAS GER ...?
Honestly though, asking for larger or smaller maps might be a good idea, wouldn't do much more, though, or the mapvote will take ages and by the third vote noone is voting anymore anyways.

The only problem with this is that you play the same maps over and over and over.
For instance, Woodland wins. Your choices are Silent Eagle, Dragon Fly, Iron Ridge, and Yamalia. Nobody will ever vote for Iron Ridge and Yamalia so you end up doing Silent Eagle and Dragon Fly over and over and over and over.
City wins? Guess what.. you are playing Muttrah because there are 40 people in the server who don't know what Marlin or Gaza are will always vote for the map they know.
We did this in HOG for a few months and you really end up playing the same maps over and over and over.

You can knowingly leave some maps out.
Woodland?
- Mestia, Ia Drang, Charlies Point, Dovre, Fools, Iron Ridge, Hill488, Korengal, Kozelsk, Qwai, Barracuda, Ghost Train, Pavlovsk, Saaremaa, Shijia, Silent, Tad Sae, Vadso, Wanda, Xiangshan & Yamalia
Urban?
- Marlin, Gaza, Asad, Beirut, Basrah, Dragon Fly ....
Desert?
- Kashan, Khami, Lashkar, Bijar,...
you get the idea. No need to put muttrah in. Woodland and Urban was voted high? Run Dragon Fly. Desert and Urbanwas voted high? Run Marlin, Gaza, Asad, ...

I like infantry layers and although asset types winge they seem to play out well, very well in some cases.

I don't care what map I am playing so long as I have some friends and they are having fun with me.
A bottle of wine or some cans of beer.
Hopefully the community will give us more suggestions on maps they really want to see instead of generic "Please play other maps"
Make a specific request of a map you want. And then come and play on our server, and remind us of the post you made.
Making general suggestions on how we mapvotes just because its populistic is kinda backwards, it would be far more benefitial if you came on the server, played there, found out what map you wanted to play and then post that here..

So you can make some informed choices, all maps played since July 19th. Keep in mind that some of the more repeatedly played maps are actually seeding rounds and that the list doesn't differentiate different modes.

What again was wrong with it? Does it crash? Or did we just kinda forget it existed?

The jets/runways are bugged, the Dutch commander doesn't work, the assets aren't particularly balanced. I can't remember clearly but I think it was intended for the brits originally but was perhaps changed to the Dutch at the last minute which might have resulted in those glitches. It's still playable but it's not really the proper PR experience (until those nagging issues are fixed)

Those people who whine about underplayed maps are the people who constantly have CAS squads or other heavy asset squads. What do you expect from them? But I find a more variety on your guys's EU server.
When I go on PR Spy and see whats playing... It's either,
Kokan INS
Muttrah
Khamisiyah
Fallujah
Saareema
I mean, honestly. I really do like those maps, but everyone pretty much 'masters' the "FOB Spots", Cache Locations, ect.
Personally, if you ask me. I find it boring to play the same map over and over.
It's like eating the same dinner over and over again. Yeah, you really like it at first, but after you eat it so many times... the taste gets bland and boring.
I'll even add some maps that would be good to play more often. Maybe on weekends you play underplayed maps, or Friday nights.
Dragon Fly, by far one of the BEST combat maps for every type. CQB, Medium Range Battles, Long Range fights.
Shijia Valley (Don't know if there is a prob with this map), GREAT map for Chinese and British. Well balanced on both sides. When the big cities are in play, it's a hell of a fun for everyone. Flanking is key to winning on that map personally.
Fools Road, That map is GREAT too. Yeah, it looks bland. But if you have the correct flag layout, it's too fun to be true.
Xiangshan. I almost consider this a cousin of Shijia. Its great for Infantry as well as armor.
Kozelsk. This is honestly one of my favorite maps. Everyone claims it is unbalanced for Russians, but... I have seen that unproven.
I know though, no one wants to hear people complain. It's just a lot of veterans from PR probably moved away or play a lot less because of the overplayed maps.

Nice selection you've got there. I'm an infantry player and I'd love to see these maps more often.
