You guys are just going to have to wait for the beta to see the changes, though you might be spending more time elsewhere in Normandy ;)

Because that's what the map designer wanted as setting for his own various reasons. One of which of course is that the D-Day beach landings are iconic/infamous.
As it stands, it feels less like "Invasion of Normandy" and more like 1 Company started the attack 1 day early by mistake.
Ofc FH2 did it soooo much better ;)
I think you are mistaking the strategic with the tactical aspect of a war. In PR you play in squads. Squads have no say in where they land on the beach, they have to make the best of the situation once they land.
I don't see how that's relevant. PR's Omaha isn't a recreation of the events that happened and neither is yours. Play against bots on local if you don't like humans making choices.
IMO the game should not be about where to land, let the level designer decide that, it should be about how to get off the beach.
I already said that I wouldn't want the 30th rendition of a D-Day beach landing to be the same beach slugfest from the 29 instances I've played this scenario before, and Rabbit made an effort giving me just that(again, thank you). He already replied and the two of us share the same mindset that die/spawn/die/spawn/die is not a fun way to play as US(and even as Germans it's no fun shooting at people that lack means of attacking back, at least for me) and his map accomplished just that quite nicely, it has lots of action, and the beach assault is just part of the experience.
VTRaptor: but i only stopped for less than 10 secs and that fucking awesome dude put 2 of them

]CIA[ SwampFox: well my definition of glitching is using an enemy kit to kill the enemy

Just_Dave: i have a list about PR players, and they r categorized by their skill

Para: You sir are an arse and not what the game or our community needs.

AlonTavor: Is that a German trying to make me concentrate?

Heavy Death: join PRTA instead - Teamwork is a must there.

Well I guess it comes down to a difference in taste then. I made my point.

Anyway, I really enjoyed running around on the map though cause of how accurate it is. Lots of places I recognized from my own map, which was a weird feeling somehow :D .

Na man, nothing of that. Both maps are historically accurate so of course look the same, he just recognized a lot of things, which is nice :) .

Yea thought so too. It'll be entirely redone for the release anyway (anims and code).

Yea yea I remember. The thing is that we planned on working on 3p anims only if they worth it (totally broken ones worth it). That thing for the stg really doesn't.

Probably not, the stg44 and mg34 look fine as is, mp40 is a bit odd looking but still perfectly fine.

Innocent comment of course, you can't patent history (yet) ;) both maps are 1:1 copies of the same area.

I discovered that my low FPS was due the fact that my laptop was running the game in the internal graphic cards and not with the GPU.

I had this problem with PR, but since WWII PR was running in a different .exe, it was not optimized yet.

Download links are in this Event Announcement. You can't play multiplayer or coop. You can just run around by yourself.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know if it'll work at all because of the v1.3 update.

It won't, it's missing some textures that are no longer present in the PR mod folder, so it will crash around 88%.

This will be fixed for the next update :)
