Without SL spawn, rally points wouldn't exsists because it is already hard enough to get 3 guys to stay get in one spot long enough to put down a rally point.
And on maps like Basrah where the landrovers only carry 3 people and are hard enough to get, how do you expect 3 people to get to one spot quickly?

Spawning on SL=teamwork+rally points=super teamwork

Maybe the common "SL must have officer kit to be a spawn point" idea?
Is that doable? I'm sure its been talked about though... would help with SL not doing his job and being an SL/Officer kit. You have to have it t place a kit, so why not you have to have it to be a spawn point?
Sorry if this was already discussed, this threads a bit old. I dont even remember voting on it... whenever that was...

Still wondering here how it is more realistic to spawn on a person vs on a pile of bag. Both just as gamy.

If anything I reckon it should be the other way round, well sorta. More if there are enough people in squad for an officer kit, and therefore an RP, then no SL spawn. If they have loads of guys in squad, and the hiding behind a rock 10 metres from a flag tactic is been employed, then it's gonna be worse with 5 then 2 guys. That's as far as I go toward endorsing SL spawning.
Spawning on a pile of bags is pretty gamey, but however you can't stick the pile of bags right next to a flag and have it move about and hide without making radio noises etc.

simple answer from me is NO!
Unless something like, less than 4 guys in a squad, SL is spawnable, more than 4 guys, cant spawn on squad leader unless Oficer kit is used. but thats probably hard coded.

I think his plan was to have a comment in every thread, so he could rank up his forum level. Which one is stupid, two is irrelevant, and three is annoying.
