I read some where that a gun of this caliber or similar could damage the tracks on a tank. If these are not uparmoured, that could be the balance to the humvee

As much as a BRDM can be damaged by continuous 50. fire.
The vodnik is pretty much a faster BRDM that acts like an ISV rather than APC.
Its armor isn't weaker than the HMMWV's tho, but i suppose the HMMWV is faster than the GAZ-39371.
