Commander.
Its the only creative function in the entire game -and has at the same time, the greatest responsibility as well.
Furthermore the Project Reality Commander function also requires both in-game knowledge and in-game experience, in order to keep up with present patch changes, involving tactical changes too.
Changes related to all other functions on the team, that is.

Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

Clearly sneaking around the map with a 2man combat engineer firebase squad, trying to build firebases for all the douchebags who take it for granted that they should be able to spawn near the action.

Driving with lag, especially if you have a very impatient gunner who likes to get barkey. I get the shits up very quickly. But I'll drive if no-one else puts their hand up, I don't mind filling roles if need be.

Cause we throw bombs on it, throw bombs on it. Just smash something, yeah mosh for me.

Re: Your most stressful Role
Heli pilot is the worst. On one server I got yelled at and warned repeatedly for soloing a Havoc when there was a gunner with me the whole time. He also got warned by the admin for soloing at the same time

But it's nice and rewarding when you finish the round with no deaths. Oh.. Also for those chaps you dropped off too, I guess.

lol, but in my experiance as a helo pilot, its most rewarding to get hit in the cockpit by an aa, and you die kinda high up, over the city, and have the helo land itself with no casulties other then yourself=P also, its funny how the guy who thinks he killed the entire huey gets whene he learns the squad survived, the pilot dident=PRedSparrow wrote:Hear hear. Heli pilot. Especially if your team is out of FOBs and you are the only transport to the battlefield. Half dozen of ready-to-fight soldier in that heli waiting for you to land them on a secure right place without any harm. If anything goes wrong you can't choose which one u should worry for: killed half dozen inf? lost dozens of tickets? an angry team becasue they've lost their only left precious transport?
well... I love this game

Re: Your most stressful Role
The most stressful role by far I would say is the Squad Leader.
----------------
Although Commander is 'the next man up the chain' I'd say he is more boring to be than stressful; sat looking at a low-res map for 2 hours whilst most squads do what they want.
----------------
Second to this would be a helicopter pilot simply because of morons saying "YEAH IT'S CLEAR HERE" and you go there, and get AA'd to death.
Or when they say "TAKE ME TO A" and you say "A IS TOO HOT I'LL TAKE YOU AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE", then you get there, you're spamming for them to bail out, they don't, you clip the terrain and boom chopper dead. To add insult to injury you get them going "omg noob pilot".
----------------
Lastly would be jet pilots; simply because it's sods law you wait around for the jet and then crash/disconnect/lag/get shot down. Then some moron (who ends up crashing it into the barrier on the runway 'cause they don't have their controls set up/don't know how to fly) starts chiming "UVE HAD UR TURN LET ME HAVE A GO".

Re: Your most stressful Role
Heli pilot on a full server for sure. No where else is the line between total failure and complete success as thin.
You can get shot down, crash and you constantly have to argue with people that want to be dropped of in the middle of the action. No, landing on the Mutthra mosque when there are enemy LMGs, AA sites and BTRs guarding it is not a good idea, and yes, if you call me coward again I will put my landing tracks upp you a**...
Squadleader can be pretty relaxed or very stressful depending on the map and what situation you are in. The most annoying thing is when playing pub games and people ignore your orders and just rush to the enemies, but the most stressful is when you do everything right but for some reason the cards just dont fall your way and you feel responsible for the squads failure.

I've never found the squadleader role stressfull. Flying Jets on a full server and having the whole team just waiting for you to crash it so they can flame ya is a different story

Re: Your most stressful Role
Yup, it sure is heli pilot for me, For example: I fly in and out transporting infantry and crates in operation barracuda in the huey for countless times for a duration of lets say more than 45 mins, then one squad wants to specifically drop them in an area which i argue with them that its hot, they convince me to land them at least 250 metres away from te zone, guess what, I got owned by multiple AA (although I earlier managed to dodge plenty of AA for the 45 mins I played because i was cautous and didnt try anythng stupid or dangerous before that), and naturally every body starts nagging, and some b@$£@rd (exuse my language) actually votes to kick me out of game, OUTRAGOUS.
well, at least in a transport heli squad, other squadmates, usually asure and calm their fellow pilots down when they know you aren't at fault, thats one positive side compared to a commander where the whole team could critisize you regardless of your performance just because match was lost (ofcourse am not saying everyone does it, but it happens).

Noone feels with me? Being a armor driver? Cmoon ive been playing as a driver a few times and all the yeling and STOP STOP STOP (VOIP delay) gets under my skin man. Firstly i never know the correct route wich the gunner obviously had in mind secondly im kind of a skilled driver with humv's and such but when im with a stressed out gunner who sees enemys behind every rock im all shaky and kind of.. well er.. insecure.. argh.. ill stick with being a sm inf.
