Like someone else said: IF this can be integrated with PR (players instal this automaticly with PR, Launches automaticly with PR, Server Owners need this on or else no PR license, Players Join automaticly) than it would be one of the best things that could happen to PR.

I agree with the above statements. This would add so much to PR, it would be awesome.

Well allot of servers already run TS as there VOIP program so even if we cannot get it 100% integrated its not all lost.

Great thing with open source is we get to play with it a bit.

Not yet, but if we get it working perfectly, it should definitely be mandatory.

Are there any servers which currently use this? Can someone list them please, maybe update first post, that would be helpful.

Hm, if they are that responsive, maybe ask them to implement a Whisper function. It is essential for any advanced Comms structure.

Can the other team hear you if you are nearby them?

-Meh, don't see the point. Servers running Mumble would probably be the most popular anyways, so I don't see a reason to enforce this. Not that many servers have additional VOIP servers and making this mandatory would only mean losing servers.

-Provided they're in the same channel. For an example of how it would probably work you could check out the Resistance & Liberation mod on the Source engie, which has positional proximity audio built-in.

Any way we could build this into PR? Such that when you load into a server, the VOIP loads along with it and assigns you to appropriate channel n stuff

would be pro

if any want to try it and need a server you are welcome, even if you dont play on our server hehe

mumble://10th-community.com:64738

if you register at our forum you have the same login/pass in mumble, but not needed

we are testing it a longer time already, but the most guys are used to ingame/TS and its hard to get them a try
positional voip is so nice :-D

Just wondering, in wikipedia it says:
"An example is included which shows how to use this integration to connect the server to a Battlefield 2 server and automatically place users in channels matching the right team and squad"
So isn't it like half done?
