i think jets should definitly be added, as from what i can understand you can laser designate any area to be bombed. so even though the insurgents may not have many big targets to designate, you can designate an area on the ground where they are concentrated, or maybe a building they are hiding in, and the flyboys can drop a bomb on that area and it would be majorly realistic. and please please dont add challengers to this map, im almost 100 percent certain that there are no challengers in afghanistan.

I hope that rank will use the jets to!

And I know that he will not use the challanger 2

Awesome Map...you made someone VERY happy indeed... to give it even more umppphhh i have a book which i suggest you read "3 Para" by Patrick Bishop. As well as giving a good feel as to what life in Sangin is like, there are some more excellent pics and maps of the area. If it is a realistic map, I'll be running around streets I know well

Can't wait to see it.

P.S. I take it that allied force will be British Paratroopers (Make the DZ flash a Pathfinder 8) [see my avatar])

Is A-10 going into map, because A-10's are PWNAGE in Afghan.

But U.S. is only operators,so will it be like Qinling,where there's a supposable attachment of U.S. ?

Will there be Apaches? The paras at places like Sangin, Now Zad etc depended on Apaches almost as much as the 50.cal for the fear factor. (Like someone said above me, 3 PARA, great book, just finished it a few hours ago)

Pathfinder is the parachute regiments reconnaissance force, your better off putting in 2 or 3 para battalion. Blue flash for 2 para, green flash for 3 para.

Amazing map! cant wait :-)

I actully read thrue all the coments off this thread and noticed somwere somone saying you arent following a timeline spcifikly, and that the brits are surpose to be fighting the Taliban so far i think im korekt, but what about the Taliban weaponry i mean isent it time to update there weapons knowing they dont all run around with the AK47 enymore or atleast i know about the found off alot off sub-mg´s found and Sa-7 or grails sry i cant recal the name off the stinger like Portable AA. i mean the Taliban arent that bad equiped according to alot off goverments, but well the map looks amazing and cant wait to play it.

I whas just wondering about the Weapons thats all, the insurgents/Taliban seems like they are getting kinda outdated according to that conflikt they are surpose to be in.

its very common for the US to do air strikes for the UK ground forces. i guess it all depends on what coalition assets are available.

yep, they pick the closest available air asset to them at the time which is on patrol, which is most of the time a US asset like a F-15 thou lots of times RAF, dutch and loads of other aircraft are used.
