Isn't it possible that by looking on the things above, you can make a new thing (fire delay after prone), for example "Vars.Set fire-delay-after-prone"?
And a question for you: Is that the file where the prone->crouch delay (since the 1.4 Patch) is too? I cant seem to see that "delay" in those settings, so maybe its somewhere else? ;)
try it :p

Not really. You get the top and bottom cutted off, as if the resolution was too big to fit in the screen. That's why there's a Widescreen Fixer (you use v1.32 so it's accepted by PB by the way).

Anyway for this patch I would love to have 128 player support and/or fastropes, but I doubt it since they'll want them to be BF3 exclusive features... :(

I don't know why people would expect 128 player capability.

If you expect something comparable to the 2142 patch, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Battlefield 2 celebrates its three year anniversary - Electronic Arts UK Community

On this day three years ago, Battlefield 2 was released and still remains one of the most played PC FPS titles.

With over 15 million player accounts being created since release, Battlefield 2 is still going strong. On the forums we often see discussions about whether there will ever be another update for the game. Well, today we are happy to announce that we are working on an update for Battlefield 2. We are planning to provide an open beta in the near future and we hope you’ll give us your feedback before final release; so watch out for that.

Keep an eye on EA - ::Battlefield Franchise:: for information on what we are working on, release dates and don’t forget to visit our forums.

In the mean time Battlefield Bad Company is released worldwide this week and we expect it will keep you occupied while we work on the update.
SO bascially what they are saying is watch this space _________ on Patch news giving us a warning of Beta testing for the patch that is probably a month away then another month of testing.......que endless demands for "When is it done?" etc

At least it IS comming, man I can't wait to play a game of BF2 with my mate where we aren't getting killed by insant prone G36E Medic Squads, (n which the only answer is the PKM or Grenade Launcher).

Squads? In vanilla? :P just kidding.

Just kidding!

The most important things would be stuff like insta-prone. And this is a bit more realistic to expect than 128 players or fast roping. Its probably not going to happen, but it would be good. More realistic weapon handling would also be very good for PR, but is never going to happen. Probably a map or two and some minor fixes.

Whats up with that G36E anyway? Never used it...

Got in this thread a bit late, but what's with everyone misspelling "break" in the first few pages.

Worst case scenario the patch will actually add ingame ads and a few crappy maps.

They wont have 128 in bf3, your'll be lucky to retain 64. You cant have people throwing 15 grenades at once and have that number of players in the same space, it'll be somewhere between all that

High damage, low recoil, high RoF, extreme accuracy.

You can if you have maps that are big enough and with plenty of control points. You would rarely see people throwing 15 grenades at once in the same space on map.

well you all have the most resent information on the patch and i guess this is where the thread goes off topic.

I read a leak for investors about BF3 and it sounds a lot like BF:BC and it states in the dossier that there will be 45 player maps. and doesnt elaborate on wether its 45 a side or 45 on the server. But i have seen videos of BF:BC on DICE's main page, and the maps are gargantuan and ment to be played on third gen consols and PC equivilant.

IMO, they should switch it to MMO and have a heck of a lot more players on each server. But thats wishful thinking :/

Off-topic x2 ahead, but great news nonetheless, no? ;)

5 new Battlefield games (counting BF:BC & BF:H)
BF2S Forums / [BF] 5 New Battlefield games currently in production.

I'm betting BF3 is one of the secret projects. :)

To expand on that, it's starts with near zero deviation firing 3 round burst doing 33 damage (maybe 32 can't quite recall) the end result is you having 1 HP left and them only having to spray a second burst fire at you in the amount of time it takes a normal gun to fire one bullet. So basically unless they get unlucky you die instantly.

you cant create new code and the huge list of code in the editor doesnt show anything like that. now if we could create code i would only have to do 3 things.

vars.set Kill-All-Noobs-Delay 0
ObjectTemplate.UnlockSourceCode 1
ObjectTemplate.FastropesEnabled 1

BF2 patch welcome but I still don’t expect much. BF3 will have to be a leap forward as lets face it BF2 is three years old and I’m only still on it with Pr’s Help.

I’d say PR has extended my playing of BF by a good year and a half anyway as I was getting bored with Bf2 till I found PR.

If Bf3 had tanks that could drive up small hills and have a sense of weight and not bob about. Thing is I went back to Normal BF2 and I was missing all the PR stuff like zoom etc you forget about how much work has gone in to Pr till you pop back and walls aren’t destructible

Also hate trying to climb up hills that a five year old could climb in real life, but you cant on the BF.

will anything in the patch port over then?

I think i've heard of what'll be in it already as well so it's not really a secret. I know for sure it'll use the same engine as Bad Company. Here's what I read.

* Release in late 2008
* Powered by “Frostbite DX”
* Set in year modern day (just like BF2, ed.)
* Will ship with 8 maps, each supporting up to 40-players per team
* Two playable factions, NATO and MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition)
* Same “ticket-based” gameplay style as before
* Maps are mostly urban, based in Middle East
* Squads and Commanders are present, introduced are “Battalions” which consist of three to four squads.
* Five playable classes; Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support
* Will feature 48 different vehicles (24 for each faction)
* Will feature 34 different weapons (17 for each faction) and another 22 unlocks (for both factions), in total 56 different weapons.
* Other unlocks include different types of ammunition, body armor, helmets, camouflage and accessories.
* Possible public beta in “Summer 2008″
* Online stats tracking, awards and “real world ranks”
* “Soldier” feature, looks like MMO-styled characters and avatars
* Ranked servers will be available for resellers weeks before the game ships (for testing, apparently, ed.)
* In-game replay and recording feature
* VoIP, friends list, in-game IM-client and “extensive clan support”
* Built-in auto software updater (no more patches!, ed.)
* Widows Vista and OS X (no XP?!, ed.)
* Announcement and teaser trailer in January 2008.
