Bad idea imo.

Most current public servers can barely handle 64 with BR on,you want 120+?
Unless there are some minimum requirements put in place,so that all servers are
capable or running all maps without any lag with BR turned on,then maybe.
Otherwise forget about,sure it sounds good on the paper,but in "reality" not really.

It should be just as easy as changing a few Hex numbers, the game can handle 114 players but the problem lies in trying to do it online there's a hardcode wall that gets in the way of the client to server chatting or something along those lines

Technically it's possible but you can only do it with bots and the one lil line of code that needs fiddlin so you can involve extra playersg is against the EULA to fiddle with

Personally I think it should be sent off now. The signatures dropping off now, so its better to look like it got loads of signatures in a short time.

Also if they agreed to the changes, they will be made in the 1.5 patch which theyre working on right now and are due to release very soon ( Im pretty sure this will be the last patch as well )

imo far too few players signed this and its full of spamposts of one angry child anyway...so i dont like to say this but it looks like its a complete fail.

only 2300 people signed it so far... the whole bf2 community counts at least 2 million. Ea won't care about such a small number of people. Also i dunno if its true but i red it in one of the posts on Pr forums that in bf2 v1.5 mods will be made illegal(i seriously doubt that).

THANK YOU THAT U TOLD ME THAT!... actually i didn't know it was in the offtopic because i searched in google for 1.5 bf2 info. So i saw this link to pr forums and just looked at it... though err haven't noticed it was in the off-topic forum :then i only red some parts of it that were normal, so not much of that post really. dame i had a fright

Really dunno how this happened, but the petition came up on one of my tabs today (looked through my history and emails and couldn't find where the link came from).

Anyway, I'm on the forums far too much for my own good, and I hadn't come across it despite it being a good couple of months old. It's got over 2000 sigs but it might be worth stickying this thread just incase anyone else hasn't seen it yet, seems like the message has spread a fair bit though. I assume it's been whored about in some other forums but the more the better obviously. I know it says earlier theres a good reason for it not to be, but it's a little old now.

Was kinda surprised there was no mention of more then 8 in a vehicle in the thing, but nevermind, it's probably pretty implicit, if EA/Dice do anything about it that is.

I'm still hopeful that this petition comes to pass.

But the chances of EA using their brains on this topic is about as likely to happen as all of the vBF2 community to stop grenade spamming forever.

Saying that EA wont do this will only increase the amount of "Ha, they think we would not do this - so we wont have to do it"

Well I found a report somewhere of an "EA investigation" what the player base wants for the next update. And the upgrade for server limit is in there. So they know what we want.

I signed it but I seriously doubt EA would listen to the community. Just look how hard it is for them to release the 1.5 patch... They hate supporting their games. They just want to sells new one. How long do you think it would take for EA To develop and release a 1.6 patch with the player increase ? Years!

Although, maybe they'll consider increasing the player limit on Battlefield 3.

do you guys seriusly think that raising the server limit is as easy as changing some values in word pad?

you know , there is a reason of why they didnt incluided 128 slots in serves .
