What is your favourite weapon in PR?

I'm always the AR guy, my favorite is the PKM, the 7.62mm fire coupled with the reasonable accuracy make it a good long distance weapon. The M249 is also close behind, the ROF is amazing.

Otherwise the AKS-74u, it's waaaay easy to control even in full auto.

Yeah, the AKS-74u is great too. Awesome for CQB.

Using this on Basrah the other day, attacking caches on the 'island' down the bottom right of the map, my squad was sat back supporting while two others attacked with an APC over the bridge.

Never got on with the GL before but I got 12 kills in about 5 minutes lobbing nades over. I still need one or two ranging shots though, not that good yet

For close range the M4 with red dot sight on burst

short/medium= shotgun (It is a sniper rifle that fires multiple "bullets")
medium/long= L85a2/G3 scoped
Support= HK 21E/PKM
Marksmen/sniper= M24(it is the easiet and most effective rifle to use IMO)

true mongol, the INS shotgun in close to mid range is best gun in game, it has little to no deviation , even when moving.

Hands down G3 SG1. 90% of the time 1 shot suffice to not only blow the head of the target. but also terrorize his entire squad from peekin at you.

However the Hk21E would be absolutly beautiful with a scope.

3rd pick (or 2nd since Hk21 aint scoped) G3 hk79 GL. AKA the squad rapa. lol

However the Ak74 comes right behind with that beautiful "hosing" feeling when firing from the hip. Extremely usefull in CQB. I often wish China still had a few AK models... I hate the feel of the chinese assault rifle even tho it has the best scope

Sniper rifles: British AWP or L-wtv. 2nd best, Dragunov (yes even with the shitteh 2x scope and boldy decals although we should fix that)

LMGs: Hk21e hands down. More firepower, more recoil management (handle), Fire selector switch and a deadly accuracy.

LAT: RPG. More scary then at-4 or RPG-26 since you dont know if the shooter has another rocket coming. Quite accurate from 0-200m. The chinese LAT however is quite effective long range with its scope.

HAT: Eryx hands down. The new one is just beautiful, exactly the way all wire/laser guided should behave. I don't know why they left SRAW with some ( _ ) crosshairs... Totally unaccurate when trying to fire at unconventional targets. The chinese bazooka HAT.. Well.. Too slow in flight.

All that being said, m249 SAW is a beautiful piece of work for intense firefights. Will only overheat on the 3rd belt of full auto non stop fire. The only downside of the Para SAW is the 5.56, wich is, needless to say, not much scary down range. (a long range 5.56 shot will stop bleedin by itself most of the time).

Now a 7.62 SAW would be absolutely lovely and terrifying.

Would be another story if that shooter used the slug shot

But I think they messed up the slug at some point. Either the iron sights dont point correctly or they intentionally dropped down the slug after X distance. I think its both.

On very close quarters ( like at ur feet), the slug doesnt hit exactly where aimed (way down), and on long range, doesnt seem like it can hold the travelling.

It is absolutly beautiful on buckshot tho. I can easily pop a hiding or moving target from 0 to 100m. The supressive fire of buckshot is effective till 150m in my book. Still depends on how cocky the nme is.

P.S: I cannot confirm this but slug shot will bring down a LB quick on short range. One time I was coming out of Mosque on karbala, LB flew right over the corner, aimed my shotty and opened fire on the engine, fell down after 2-3 shots and there was no other shooter, maybe 1 AK on semi if i remember.

LMG: M249, I love how it can be used with almost deadly accuracy
Shotgun: Insurgent Shotgun, Buckshot and Breaching shot, all around shotgun
Sniper: M24, I liked it from vBF2
Marksman Rifle: L85 LSW, I love the sound it makes xD
LAT: AT-4, RPG-7 too hard to Aim :\
HAT: SRAW, I think its a bit faster at the animation then Eryx

G3 grenadier kit, I can reach out and sting snipers with it, pin an entire squad by raining grenades on them, puff smoke to blind enemy snipers or conceal my squad and kill with one shot in close quarters
