I'm playing Crysis Wars on my rig and its almost 7 years old
Pent IV 2.39 ghz single core, 2 gigs of 800 mhz ram, 512 or 256 mb Ati Radeon X1600 video card, Dell Version of Creative Live! WDM Sound card, I got a crappy computer and still can run crysis, not on a high end setting but wth Im enjoing the game

I just found out CryTek is releasing a new engine called CryENGINE 3, apparently they are making it as a Dev platform for next gen games, it ships with all the necessary SDK's and equipment to just jump right in and start making a game, to save money for developers by providing a ready to go engine for them to work with, so they don't have to build one from scratch.
Might be something to check out.

Otherwise Dunia looks good, and isn't as demanding as CryEngine 2 or 3.

Well its good to see that people are playing the regular Crysis but there going to be modding this and its going to be a huge mod maybe bigger and I have to say I just don't think a lot of people are going to be able to handle that kind of stuff.

Also nicoliani I'm in no way "crying" that is just my opinion. This a forum not a day care.

cryengine2 would be great, but seems like changing the max limit of players is ilegal.

The dunia engine is nice, but Far cry 2 was one of the biggest let downs ever, they portrayed it to be so awesome and realistic but it sucked balls.

I really can't count how many times Cryengine has been suggested on this thread but I don't think its a good engine for a next gen PR.

several suggestions....

1. put eo-tech sights on m-4 instead of aimpoint

2. NIGHT MAPS... This Would Be Awsome!!!

3. single player w/story line

4. crosshair's should wiggle and move instead of having to "stabilize the rifle"

5. It should only take one shot in the chest to die

6. leaning around corners would be great

7. flashbangs

8. wind should effect bullet, scope on sniper should have notches for each 100yds

9. greater range of visibility... i have seen hacks that do this... you should put this in the game standard

10. a spotter kit for sniper squads

3. Project Reality doesn't have a storyline, the developers avoid it as it just limits their options.

5. Only if they aren't wearing body armor.

7. That would probably only be appropriate for special forces, which PR doesn't feature.

10. I don't see the point of that in PR.

Your other suggestions are alright, but probably already considered.

The problem with all these suggestions is the engine in general.

BF2 engine is a military engine in a way, the helicopter functions are there, tank, jeep etc.

It's alot better to just wait for BF3 or for a new Frostbite engine, though we cant have jets.

#5 is the only one I can agree on, being shot down is surely better than just absorbing it and run away.

Never understood the urge with night maps, just turn up the gamma or what not and it's a light map, pfft.

The Call of Duty Engine seems very promising, fast ropes, night maps, one shot, one kill.

I was playing COD4 the other day and I thought to myself, this engine is beautiful, I dont have to guess where my bullet is going to go, I can lean around a corner, night vision is very nice (I dont ever cheat on multiplayer, even with Gamma alterations). This game has tanks, the ability to have large maps (Gotta love them modders), helicopters. Folks the potential is there. I absolutely could not believe the AC130 level on the single player.

So the only thing that limits us is our imaginations. Envision variable blackhawk insertions at the start of every round, sniper maps that take hours to become the victor. But even these ideas still dont seem to be part of what PR is about...Teamwork.

So I can only gripe about one thing, the wiggle and bounciness of the weapons and the timing of the shot is all I really desire from this engine, the ability to shoot exactly where I aim (I am sick and tired of being in a stand off 20 meters apart with my ACOG and quite literally playing a game of Russian roulette, hoping that he isn't as patient as I am when I wait, for what seems to be ages, for my deviation to come back to 0. THE WIGGLE AND BOUNCE IS WHAT I WANT), and maybe the ability to lean, everything else is just the gravy that clogs the Artery of a true Team player.

So, we wait for BF3, unless the devs have any imaginative ideas.

I think the bf2 engine is as good as it gets, it cannot have fast-ropes but does that really matter?

Look at the pros.

4km maps.
64 mulitplayer
all sorts of vehicles, aircraft, tanks, boats, cars, jeeps
can have multiple things in your inventory, like cod cannot.
Not all that bad graphics (in my opinion)
2 voips, one with squad and one to CO
squads
commander
3d sights (i dont know how many other games have this)
You can have great animations
open maps
you can switch firemode
Can have vehicles hold up to 8 players

and much more..

Although it would be nice if we got flash grenades like in bf2v, dont know why they are not in the game.
