No one conventional.'[R-COM wrote:BloodBane611;1245443']The IDF have enemies, if you look through the released map overviews you'll see that they're fighting several factions.
I do think that this is a good idea, but as afterdune will no doubt be in here to mention, there are 9 factions that are not being released in 0.9 that should be finished first. Their are at least 3, maybe as many as 5 factions that are nearing the point where they could be included in a proper PR release, so working on them is a much higher priority than any opfor. I would love to see Iran/North Korea in PR to oppose the factions we already have, but it just isn't top priority right now.
russian forces are not counted as conventional anymore?ComradeChaos wrote:No one conventional.
But I must agree, many things to be done.

Excuse me, I meant realistic. But then again...*looks at NATO vs. China*DankE_SPB wrote:russian forces are not counted as conventional anymore?
Are you arguing that a ground war between Israel and Iran is likely? In all the time that Israel and Iran have opposed each other (~31 years), they have never fought a ground war. Except for Syria, all the real nations that have fought Israel in the past are now aligned towards the US/West. A true war, or even a ground battle, between Israel and Iran is actually impossible right now, unless one side barges their way through fairly neutral nations to get to the other. Israel doesn't need to do that (one of the most powerful/successful air forces in the world), and Iran has no practical reason to do that (practical meaning non-ideological). Your *realism* argument is ridiculous, what we're working with is semi-plausible conflicts. Even then, anything but a limited air attack is still unlikely between Israel and Iran, and you may have noticed that there are no air only maps in PR. So a fictional Israel/Iran conflict is no more likely than a fictional Israel/Russia conflict.ComradeChaos wrote:Excuse me, I meant realistic. But then again...*looks at NATO vs. China*
Why can't they fight MEC in future releases?Considering the IDF has no real opponent and the faction nearing completion, I thought there would be man power to pull it off.
The MEC is an imposible alliance of nations that have very different idealogies.(Shia and Shiite) What you just said is like keeping the EU. Besides, we need more OPFOR factions. Regarding the likeliness of an Isreal-Iran war, I was considering who had nukes pointing at who.Bellator wrote:Why can't they fight MEC in future releases?
Prove it. Widespread belief is that Iran doesn't even have a working device yet, so it'd be hard to point it at anyone.Regarding the likeliness of an Isreal-Iran war, I was considering who had nukes pointing at who.
I don't see any reason they cannot. Many people have suggested breaking up the MEC, and in the future it will probably happen. However, right now there are a ridiculous number of factions that are partially completed, and they need to be finished before people start new ones. That's just the way it is, those unwilling to lend a hand really don't need to keep bringing up factions. If you want to get them ingame, learn to map, model, code, uv map, texture, or export, and help the current factions finish. Why can't they fight MEC in future releases?
They did buy 12 ICBMs from the Ukraine. Thats alot of money to bluff with. Besides, isn't PR supposedly near future? would add some better variation to the faction MEC, which is a generalization of all Arab armies.[R-COM]BloodBane611 wrote:Prove it. Could I have a source? I did a google search and the third suggestion was this thread.ComradeChaos wrote:They did buy 12 ICBMs from the Ukraine. Thats alot of money to bluff with.
