I dont know if its only me but I would like some conformation of the kills I earned during a round, maybe not instantly but somewhere.

IRL that 'somewhere' would be on the floor where you guy was that you shot at. Need I say that it's much more realistic to see your kill to confirm it than have a magic number tell you so? :p

i read somewhere someone say something very true to PR, at the bottom right of your screen is a counter of how many mags you have and whether your weapon is in single burst semi.. whatever.. although it is not realistic because that counter doesnt appear in the bottom right corner of your vision it is realistic because it allows you to know how many mags you have because in real life you can check how many mags you have or what firing thingy your using..

the kill counter although while it may not be fully realistic, it is a way of confirming kills which is realistic in a way and should be left in.

i don't know guys. obviously if you see that you hit them and they're down and out, then it would be a confirmed kill - cuz you saw it yourself.
but say for example if you took out an apc orrr fragged some room in a building but didn't go up to check, then obviously you wouldn't know how many you killed, IF you killed any at all.

perhaps there could be like a "confirmed kill" on the score table, where you put in yourself if you've killed someone - that way you can track you're progress. then at the end of the round, reveal scores and compare.

dunno, just a thought

But you can confirm kills visually. You can't see a change in your model when you've reloaded your mags. The comparison is moot.

You can't visually confirm kills for passengers/crewmen in most vehicles.

I'd like the kills to be shown either a lot later (like 10 minutes instead of 1) or at the end of the round to avoid kill confirmations.

No, but that's like IRL. I'd really like to see all statics kept at the end only.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.

[SARCASM]I'm sure soldiers IRL pull out a notepad and notch another one up on their tally chart after every kill.[/SARCASM]

All you'd do is keep a mental note and see your scores at the end. What is sooo important about your kill count? People should be trying not to die and complete their job. Many of the roles people play in PR do not involve killing things.

Let's not forget why we play PR.

Just show them at the end of the round, that way people aren't gonna be focusing just on racking up the kills

I think you are wrong, not about the fire selector or magazine count, like you said. Irl you can look down at your gear and count your magazines or look at your weapon. And if you really need to you need to remember the nr of kills or write it down of something.

But you can't just look at something to know how many people you have killed, you need to remember that. To confirm a kill you need to get in a position were you can see the body.

I think it should be removed so that you only see your kills and score when the round is over. I see no point for the game play or realism to have it left.

The system already allocates most points for just building firebases and is much more messed up in that direction. Currently if you want points the best way is not to camp and get kills, but to destroy and rebuild firebases.

Yeah I would like to see the scores at the end of the round. When you are ingame you really get imersed but pulling the score board and looking for your teams points and things like that really gets you out of the experience. I dont think it should be removed totaly, cus its nice to see how many people you owned at the end of the round.

it would be good , it would encourage more team. Sitting themre next to a squad member "hey! i think i got one" , "nice work". Creates a better team based atmosphere rather than the usual "imma grab a sniper kit and rack up kills so im at top of scoreboard"

Personally I'd like to see the kill count removed, or no points awarded for a kill, simply because I've never been a fan of that little aspect. Also, I'm much more interested in the whole "Did I get him?" aspect of things. It focuses the person to confirm kills, or to be careful and work as a team to ensure that your moves can be made safely, instead of just hitting Tab and going "Yea I got him. He's dead." but never seeing it because they guy was hidden behind a wall when he went down or bled out or whatever.

When you enter a room full of armed men, shoot the first person who makes a move, hostile or otherwise.

He has started to think and is therefore dangerous.

I'd rather be notified of a kill by a spinning Super Mario star appearing on my screen accompanied by a jingle.

I'd also like to see a shots per kill ratio within the stats at game end.

Also, like in BHD, I'd like to see a invincibility period introduced for newly spawned players, and do not dare say that's unrealistic!!!

I agree except only if their in the main base because we do have a system where a squad leader can place a rp anywhere and spawn in 4 new people out of thin air.
Should they have any superhero ability on top of that, not really because it would be used aggressively for an 5 second overwhelming attack to storm the trenches or whatever

Kills are not essential, it could be removed altogether but I dont really want that because I like knowing if I was on target or not. The delay could be doubled or trebled though to stop scoreboard giving too much feedback.
The kill confirm delay should not be less time then it takes for a revive, heal and walk away from the fight, otherwise the scoreboard is influencing the game (by providing otherwise unknown information to a firefight) which is the wrong way round.
Delay should not be less time then it takes for smoke to clear and aftermath checked visually

Another alternative is to add in random errors, if possible give a kill when the guy got revived sometimes and vice versa sometimes just because thats the fog of war, lots of uncertainty.

Also I'd like kill counter taken out of insurgency altogether for allies at least as its not a formal battlefield and the focus is the ammo cache not amount of kills.
It would help discourage the stryker firing into insurgent spawn points and their exits

I'd rather not tbh, I bet there would be a way to expoit it would be much much preferable if every map's spawners were placed with safety in mind.

i.e. spawning inside things.
