Uh...It doesn't work in BF2? Not only that, this isn't a thread for you to show off as to how you "own" other pilots in this game... This is a thread to discuss who has Track IR, and if they love it, not for people like you who like to brag.

I have gotten into freetrack lately and eventually bough a trackir 5. Then realized it wont work with bf2 so its back to facetracknoir for bf2 but for everything else trackir 5 is the best. I think if it were to be integrated with bf2 freelook it would be great, I use the snap center view as the first stage trigger to center the view to be able to aim with the cannon in jets. The deadzone with hud detected option is disablled. That way looking around is smoother and with less consequences if there are glitches and I can choose when I want to aim like that.

Problem ?
Dis-moi Killjoy, aurais le temps pour un petit entretien ? j'utilise freetrack et j'aimerais savoir comment tu l'as parametre : il a l'air plus docile chez toi. 8-)

Tell me Killjoy, would you have the time for a little interview ? I'm using Freetrack and i would know how did you configurate it. The system seems more obedient in your video.

Yeah I use freetrack too, but it's stuttering as hell lol :p Maybe it's my webcam who suck, or just that freetrack is sucking too much CPU (40%) plus mumble (5%) plus BF2 FreeLook (10%) and PR have the rest, which drops my FPS heavily xD

Got a TrackIR 5 for DCS, Lock On and when I fly in ARMA 2/3. Love the thing, made flying in DCS and Lock On go from awesome to "OMG THIS IS F*CKING AMAZING!"

I ordered one. Will have it soon. I didn't have a webcam or the time to build a trackclip myself. So I quickly decided to get a trackir5. They are expensive, and their company is not the nicest( a must read!!), but after some thought for me personally trackir was the best choice over freetrack. But I think you really need to consider this for yourself, cause if you already have a webcam and you can build a trackclip yourself, then their is no reason to buy a trackir in favor or freetrack.

I will use it for dcs and arma mostly. Still hoping that somehow I can make it work with PR but I don't have much hope for that :) .

In PR, as far as I know you can only bind the free look key which I've used for flying a few times.

I dont see the point in one. With screen googles or a tv screen that spans your field of vision like in a big driving simulator, yeah awesome. With a 24 inch scree, guess what, the screen does not move where you turn your head. Id rather have a comfortable way to manually input the twisting and turning of the head, like a small knob on the mouse, that you can rotate with your thumb and acts as a second mouse on your mouse.

Insert Xzibit meme.

its the best thing i ever purchased for my PC, i fly in il2 1946 online, it makes it totally realistic and of course you gotta be able to check six all the time and the trakir is the only way to do this. with 6 degrees of freedom aswell so you can look around the back of your seat etc
