Miss the Spanish squads....Hope to see you back soon Oteo and your brother....

Nice to see you are up North.

Just like Madrid airport:

1,470 troops. The collective Spanish military contribution to ISAF is known as ASPFOR. Spanish forces are divided between Herat Province, where they form a quick-reaction company, an instructors team for Afghan National Army training and a Combat Search & Rescue unit; Kabul, and Badghis Province, where they lead PRT Qala-i-Naw. The deployment involves engineers, infantry, a transport helicopters unit, and a logistics component. Spanish soldiers are constrained by caveats. The mandate issued by the Spanish Parliament does not allow Spanish forces neither to engage Taliban insurgents unless being directly attacked first, nor to move into the south and east of Afghanistan. Spain has rejected three times to lead the ISAF when its shift to do so has come.

Thanks for letting me command on Kashan today. As MEC CO.

It was bad that we lost South Bunkers so early, but we were able to trap the US forces on south village, and spot them with Infantry, With alot of infantry getting blown in the air at the same time, then rush the armor forward and rape em.

Twas epic. GG

Had a great round today on Muttrah, bouncing enemy reports and requests for ammo between mine and Oreely's squads as we held out at North City whilst the rest of the team pushed on Docks.

Culminated in my squad setting up mortar pits and breaking the enemy resistance with a barrage directed by the squads at Docks.

Filmed the whole thing, only realised afterwards that my mic wasn't recording... :cussing:

You guys don't have the nicest admins, just joined your server and join a squad on brits on al basrah. No transport at main except a apc with no gunner, so i get asked to gun for him. Join there squad and we start transporting a squad down towards a cache.

I'm in the apc for 5 mins when our whole squad gets warned for not following orders, but there is no commander to give any orders. Then about 10 seconds after the warning my driver is kicked, so one of the passengers has to get out of the vehicle, join the squad and get in but whilst were doing that we get rpged because were sitting ducks.

To which our whole squad left the server, I'd just advise that if your going to warn then kick people. At least give enough time for the people to react instead of just warn then insta-kick.

its pretty hard to hear a sqleader (who is acting as commander) on mumble when there are 5 players talking near you. no markers, no direct order (which apc did he mean?). also kicking about 30 sec after the warn is a bit quick. will not play there anymore.

be commander if you want to give orders.

Had a great round in Jabal. One of the few fun ones I've ever had on that map :)

Learned some stuff about SLing ;)

Just one thing about the server. I feel this is really personal to me, but I guess I'd just throw this in here anyways :) ... this server is GREAT, and enforcing everyone on mumble is awesome for gameplay. However, I would love if SLs kept the SL comms for emergency transmissions preferably.

In my opinion, what constitutes emergency transmissions are:
-Large enemy concentrations/"Full-Squads", "Sniper Squads".
-High-threat targets: HATs and AA
-Armored vehicles: tank, APC.
-Aircrafts
-Immediate mortar/Armored support (so immediate it overuns other requests).
-Flag Status

All these can and should be done in a very quick manner: "What's the status on the X flag? Full enemy squad approaching from West, need support ASAP" or "Enemy tank rolling in on Dam".

What does NOT constitute emergency transmissions are:
-Request for supply crates
-Request and correction of mortars fire support
-Request armored escort
...
Basically all non-emergency transmissions. Those can all be requested on the SL channel (and further on, Team Chat).

This is not a rant per-se, just something that really annoys me: long transmissions that bother while you are in the carrier with choppers around, or moving around hostile environment, planning with squad members... I think that small-units tactics between squads (for example, 2-squads coordination) should be done through local contact (if viable) or VERY QUICKLY through SL Comms. I mean, "Squad 1, you attack from W and we, squad 2, attack from E". This is NOT a time for discussion (sure it is on Local comms... that's fine ;) ) because others are busy. This is a time for grantings, not disagreements.

Yes the bain of SL channel:

I still dream about comms direct to only one SL via numpad with something like TS whispers, CAS talk to CAS, APC talk to APC etc etc ..... sighs.

Mortar corrections can safe a flag so I'd put those in high priority as well. But yea, sometimes its far to crowded! :P And its weird that people get kicked for not following orders if theres no CO present indeed! Go CO if you want to have kicking powers I'd say!

Ploddits system would indeed be perfect! :P

The good side to the German faction.

MTLB's staying alive

MTLB's transporting troops .... Incredible

You did a great job and well done to the trans pilot kts.pl for staying in the pilot seat so long, we managed to claw back victory from the jaws of defeat.

Ciemny are a good teamwork clan these days.

I was there only for an hour but the APC's did a good job supporting! Even if it was just with .50's.

And we didn't even have incendiaries against them since we were hauling our parachutes everywhere. Even tried to take my knife to one of the MT-LB's as a last act of defiance before getting my head blown off by the PKT. :p

EDIT: If only were it possible to grab the nearest log and stuff it in the tracks for a traditional Finnish mobility kill.

no more inf ver of that map then, since you can't really fight the MTLB's unless you set-up and FOB and use 50.cals and TOWs if you got TOWs

On any level of this map without AT kits FOB's must be used offensively with TOW and 50's, players can't seem able to adapt to this change for Silent Eagle.

TOW and FOB management FTW.

Pro tip: MTLBs die to small arms fire, set up an ambush and have your whole squad fire on it at the same time ;)

:p
