On the same note, I don't know how many times I have put in Kashan INF in the mapvote, just to get bitched out in all chat about how the admins suck at picking maps, when in reality it's probably one of the best map/layer combos in the game. We put in Muttrah, we get people bitching that we play it too much. We put in Iron Ridge and we "suck" at picking maps.

I wish CNC could work. I really do. There's just too many factors (mapvote included) that make it very difficult for it to happen.

I remember there were a few CnC events hosted by you guys a while back, it was fantastic fun and everyone enjoyed themselves thanks to the change of pace and organization. I'm sure if someone took time to sort it out a CnC event would be well received.

It turns into a chaos round. Then in all chat: "where are the flags....?". I think CNC is fun, only when it's very organized and people know how to play it.__Super_6__5__ wrote:vehicle warfare seems to be very unpopular. The CNC game mode is what your talking about on the single fob and is a gamemode that very few know how to play.
The pub players dont understand or care to play this way. it requires very good team cohesion and support to play it. We have played it in the past on a public game and it turns into a mess. It is great fun but this mode is generally reserved for matches and such. Hell, i dont think even the pr tournament even plays that, at least they didnt last year.

One thing to keep in mind is that CnC is an option if you have two people able to command and a couple of not-that-bad squad leaders.
If your admins are on an see that the teams are in such a state, they could just try it. Really opens up a whole new side of PR.

I remember a HOG CnC round on Silent Eagle, with us as the Germans. It as my idea to build a fob in the bottom right of the map, with no other assets and destroying the crate with everyone else focusing in another area of the map. It played out for a long time because the Commander UAV could not see the fob in the trees. Unfortunately some idiots spawned on it and fired or built some assets or something and it became known. The Russians definitely one-upped us as they built their fob in Missile Silo...

@liam, i agree. when i play if there is a commander that is doing stuff, coordinating etc, i will always do what he directs. HOG has never been one to do scrims and such, ever and the one i remember (i refused to play cause they wouldnt agree the commander was in charge) and they got creamed, and the map was muttrah of all things, lol.
It is so much fun, i really mis playing cnc events.
@priceline, i remember that, that was a fun game.

well, as it turns out, i have resigned as a Head Admin at =HOG=, no hard feelings or anything just getting too busy, so with questions and such please direct them to Haley as he is the other Head Admin. I will still be a member and an admin in the server and hope to see you all in there.

You do realize that there is a slight bleed on your team depending on distance to the middle of the map and regardless of whether or not you have a FOB up? They would've won eventually unless you manage to kill their FOBs quickly.PricelineNegotiator wrote:I remember a HOG CnC round on Silent Eagle, with us as the Germans. Re: =HOG= (North America)
Was playing in a squad of Japanese players today when our SL was randomly kicked mid round for "sl no english" with no warning whatsoever. While certainly my SL's English was not stellar, he was more than able to communicate enemy positions, FOBs, request transport/supplies etc.
Upon his rejoining, the admin then confirmed that the player has indeed some level of English.
I was pretty unhappy about having my SL kicked mid round, ruining our deployment, etc. with no warning. While I appreciate that HOG wants to maintain some level of communication and teamwork, trying to do it in such an arbitrary manner is both detrimental to gameplay and alienates people whose English is poor even moreso.

We welcome players from all over the world, unfortunately it is a NA english server. We allow non english speaking players to play, but not in a heavy asset role as comm'ing with other squads doesnt work very well.
The rules posted on the website are the warnings.
If they admin jumped to quick and acknowledged so, then he simply made a mistake and will most likely correct that for the future.

Liam, that was my mistake somewhat. A day earlier that particular player used tanks, and didnt repond at all to my questions, and when he finaly did, it was in such poor english at the moment that I couldnt understand him.[R-CON]LiamBai wrote:Was playing in a squad of Japanese players today when our SL was randomly kicked mid round for "sl no english" with no warning whatsoever. It could have been a late hour for him, and was tired. I sometimes sound like a dutch pretending to be danish speaking english at late hours.

jevsky needs to be removed from hog,... actually from PR.. worst admin ever! , banned everyone for the most stupid things. if you want to run a server , teach the new people ,who join the game , not banned them. and the people who is being playing for years , and have experience ,we call the veterans, do not banned them , because they play better then you jevsky lol , plus those veterans are teaching the new ones. if he continue being they way it is, hog will lose the rights . and HOG WILL BE CLOSED DOWN LOL.
i wish i have the list the people who banned. and i do not know if the developers of pr can make some PROJECT REALITY RECORDS ,for example best squad , best squad leader , best commander, etc... that will be very competitive , and makes more people to join the game.

HOG is currently the oldest active North American server. Re: =HOG= (North America)
Good Evening,
Ok, I've had my bumps and bruises with HOG admin but have never had perma perma ban. I was banned once due to a misunderstanding and was able to resolve it here within three days.
Regardless of what you think of any admin on any server, you are their guest and that's it. Unless you are a paying member, the customer service angle is not required. I would much rather have too strict of an admin staff than none at all. Look at the numbers, HOG is always full.
Just because you are too lazy to go to their website and read their rules before playing, it is not Jevski or anyone else's fault but your own. This is not the "ALL PR PLAYERS MATTER" club. You cannot push, shove, holler, scream, kick your feet in the air, and in general, throw a holy tantrum because your feelings were hurt. 99% of the kick/ban messages are not displayed to the players on their end so when you rejoin, politely ask someone in a squad/team if they saw what you were kicked for before posting in all chat "WHAT THE #@%^@^$ WAS I KICKED FOR!!!??" Dammit, have some manners and be considerate. Admins want to play the damn game too without having to babysit a bunch of non-compliant @#%@##%@'s.
If you mis-report, fess up and apologize like I did the other night when I accidently got someone temp banned by reporting them due to IED's going off in main. Pay attention to the damn chat that is going across your screen - team, squad, and other server warnings are important to your gameplay.
AND FOR PETE's sake, quit spreading rumors that Jevski went and committed suicide regardless of what you think of him. Come on, suicide and any other form of self hurt is not good. Dammit, the community doesn't need this BS.
On a side note... quit teamswitching and then telling everyone on your team where the enemy assets are. This isn't good for the community either. I know everyone is so "innocent" and no one ever "ghosts". The next time anyone comes into my squad and tells me where the enemy assets are, I will kick you out of the squad and report you with persistence in hopes of a perma ban. This includes you Dark_Inspired.
Now just play the damn game and observe some semblance of civility.

^ Very well said. By maintaining a "shut up and play the game" kind of attitude you won't get in trouble as long as you've read and understood the rules. If you haven't there's a very good reason for you to be removed from the server.

Re: =HOG= (North America)
Just an FYI, so we dont get any more conspiracy theories regarding the ban.
Map was Kozelsk. A sqd I was in was defending the cache nw of tunnels in the little shed, next to the water.
And now in Chucks own words why he went ahead and smoked the cache, spammed mumble and comrose.
"JEVSKI WANTED TO CAMP THE CACHE FOR 3 HOURS SHOOTING EVERYHTING COMES TO THAT DOOR, (((((( WHATS THE FUN OF THAT))))))))) ???/
So in essence, the sqd was playing the game "wrong" by actually defending the cache and its surrounding perimeter. Guess we all got it wrong, insurgency mode. Its NOT about defending the cache.
The rest of the rant if people are curious.

As much as I think that Jevski isnt a good admin, I'm 100% sure that your ban Chuck-Norris was 100% legit. You spam all chat, waste everything that can be wasted, dont contribute teamwork, build FOBs on the worst locations, have the worst K/D I have seen for a "vet".
You have played this game for yeears and havent learnt anything about it... How can you teach anything to new players? Pls dont even try it.
So stop the spam on everything (servers, TS, forums) get a new name and try again in a more listening and learning way.

Re: =HOG= (North America)
from what i saw, Chuck norris would "teach" the new players how to disrupt a server when you dont like the map.
The reason you lasted so long before being eternally banned chuck, was because you were a long time player. However, when MANY admins started complaining about your behavior, enough was enough. You are toxic to the new players, no one cares about your score, they just want you to shut up.
This was probably one of the most justifiable bans we have had.
Good work jevski and all hog admins.
