There is billions of stars in the universe.
No i did not go to space, but i do own a telescope, and am quite an enthusiastic amateur astronomer. And if you look at any picture made from space you will notice that the amount of stars on his scene is to many, especially on the scenes when the sun is behind earth, or just out of the FOV

and there is not billions its trillions of stars in space. Only our galaxy has iirc 100 billion stars.

Psyko: np if the stars areint important leave it as it looks cool, but if youre going for a realistic setup just lower the density. Ill edit in a nice ref in a minute
Spoiler for \"big pic\":
Image
as you can see, little stars, what is is not bright at all, and most is moondust anyway :)

Our galaxy has like 200 billion (Known) stars, and the amount of them you can see is relative to how much contradicting light is going into the lens (of the camera or of the eye) in this picture the camera is in the sun (even brighter sun than it is here because of the lack of an atmo) so fewer stars are visible. In deep space many many many stars would be visible.
It's all relative

On the other hand, with naked eye we can see only those stars that emit enough light and are close enough. Its really not like if you would stand on the other side of the moon and it would be night (sun below horizon) you would suddenly see all stars from whole space above you.

Hey Tim I'm no gun expert but I think there's holes for the bullets to go in.
Unless it's not a firearm at all, but some kind of exotic throwing weapon.

It is most definitely, a object to be thrown by Soviet officers.

But nah, its quite a complex bit a geometry so I will add it near the final stages of the weapon.

I think the Soviet officer idea would work better.
Damn Capitalists think they're going to get shot...but what they'll never see coming is a revolver to the face.

Genius.

On a less retarded note, I wish I could figure out how to bake. I map out the UVW then I go to bake and it gives me this "Automatic UVW flatten" and nothing works.

Just a hunch, make sure your bake settings looks like this for the uvs part. Otherwise it will use automatic unwrapping, rather than using existing channels.

I wonder how long you've been lurking in the modellers' hideout.

Also Tim can you look up the Belgian gate AKA the Cointet element and tell me what colour you think it is? All the colour pictures I can find were taken 70 years after the fact, Adriaan says green, but I suspect they might be bare iron.

Every museum here shows them as iron. Nothing green on them.

I said both actually, but I don't think it matters much. Some may have been painted, others maybe not even. If you are painting it though, I'd suggest green/gray.
