- Realistic Sizes
- Suicide Bombs on Insurgents (You look like a Civilian, Normal street people)
- Realistic Forests (Way more trees. Water pools, Animals (>_<!) and variation of tree sizes (Like 10 models, Thin, Thick, small, Big...)

Suicide bombers have been suggested way too many times...
Realistic forests and lots of trees = lots of lag

why not make the french army...with FAMAS and MP7? and why not MEC work with AK74/101 despite of the g-3 series?...and why not replace M16A2 with M4A2 or M16A3 full automatic ? then a last question why not create a German assault group?

The M16A2 will be replaced with the M16A4 (which is not full auto) in v0.7. There are no plans to have the USMC use a fully automatic weapon as thier standard rifle.

The G3 is here to stay with the MEC, and they will not be going back to AKs.

The best chance you have of seeing the French Army in PR is to put together a team to do it yourself.

from my understanding PR is about realism not balancing this is how the abrams SHOULD BE

make the Abrams more realistic and just to be sarcastic UPGRADE IT FROM THE M1 VERSION TO THE M1A2 YOUR KIND OF BEHIND!

-barrel making adjustments to range finder other wise why have the dam thing
-round type always resets from HEAP rounds to SABOT
-IMPROVE THE ARMOR ITS STEEL REINFORCED DEPLETED URANIUM AND CHOBHAM CERAMIC ARMOR W/ REACTIVE PLATES (if u want realism)
-moltov CAN NOT destroy abrams thats rediculous
-bigger blast radius for M256 120mm SGT
-look at this link it has every out side and inside piece of equipment that you omited from PR

balancing shouldnt be an issue the T-55 and T-72 are no match for the abrams and PR horribly underestimates the M1A2 and its vehicles like the Humvee hence the newer versions with bullet proof glass and smaller windows and improved armor plating with 360 degrees of protection for the roof gunnerand u horribly underestimate the USMC in PR where are the Preditors. The US uses these to recon cities like Al Basrah to learn of enemy possitions and removing that destroys the realistic element of PR.

Grammar aside, yes, the Abrams should kick T-55 and T-72 arse. Not so much T90 & whatever-the-Chinese-one's-called arse. And there are limits to what the BF2 engine can do and simulate. Like the range finder issue. The easiest way to fix this would be to make the rounds go dead straight no matter what distance you fire at. But how much fun/challenging would that be?

Predators: Have you ever played as Commander? If not, then have a go. Tell me if the top-down cam isn't exactly what you're suggesting.

a predator is different. ironically the vanilla version of BF2 was more realistic ability wise. and i know that the BF2 engine can only do so much. but they can redo the Abrams and make the roof 50 cal camera based (POE2) and they can program a M240 LMG on the gunners hatch with a forward mounted shield (ive seen it in the US intervention mod). they can make the Abrams look ALOT better for the sake of realism (they should get help from the POE2 modelers those guys kick arse) and COME ON burning to death and exploding in an abrams cuz of a moltov that is the most retarded thing ive ever seen you have to admit! they made it so the turret and treds can get blown out i bet they can do alot more. im just a military neat freak thats all and alot of things in PR arent realistic at all. its like fighting the second iraq war with 1991 equipment but with cool camo woop de dooo.

Heh, no offense meant. Forgot to give you a warm welcome to the PR forums and thank you for posting some good suggestions, too :D

Yes, the molotov thing. It's a known issue. Bit of a pain in the arse, that. Don't know why or how it happens, as I don't do much tanking, and don't know how to fix it, if possible.

What the Predator has is basically what you get with the Commander view. It doesn't automatically spot and mark all enemies in an area for everyone to see. It's got infrared and daylight cameras, etc. and all sorts of sensors, but in the end, it's man-in-the-loop technology. It needs a human to point things out and control it. Humans control the cameras and sensors. Humans can laser-paint targets for airstrikes. The UAV is just a big-arse remote controlled plane with lots of fancy equipment inside. So I'd say the Commander-cam is fairly close to what the UAV can do IRL.

Might not have mentioned that I actually like quite a few of your suggestions, but as I said, there are limits to what can be done in the BF2 engine, and ATM there's still some gameplay issues that are more important than the Abrams' capabilities. Which, by the way, are probably matched and more by newer tanks. So it sort of evens out when the Abrams goes up against a T-90.

So what are Insurgents going to do? What you will get is an 'Everybody swap teams so we can be the powerful USMC' effect. Making a game realistic has its limits. Where are the Canadians, Dutch, Australians in PR? If you want to blame anyone, blame EA/Dice for its worst engine ever made. Half Life for example is a great engine. Imagine PR on that.. ;)

I don't really think the HL or HL2 engine is suited for making 17 square km combined arms maps... Come to think of it, the BF2 engine is pretty decent in what it can do, just limited in its abilities to do the really great things, and a bit tricky to handle. So in other words, the BF2 engine is a bit like a retarded child.

its complicated to describe how the predator works in conjunction with satellites and troops on the ground and dice and ea summed it all up with showing enemy troop dispositions. al basrah and several other maps the insurgents have huge advantages like grappling hooks those acused moltov cocktails...errrrr... ieds and the USMC should atleast should have the scans available.

well im not going to try to get a point across to someone that knows nothing of the US military muchless the M1A2 abrams. but ill try, BF2 PR restricts the abrams and everything else the US military uses other wise those dam insurgents wouldnt be able to sneak up behind any Abrams without getting mowed down by several .50 cal rounds from the camera controlled roof gun. i hardly ever get VBIEDed i usually blow the little arse holes up 100m away but i always get RPGed or destroyed by a moltov. in al basrah for instance, the shit load of roof tops and ghetto houses and ive been destroyed by a F ing grappleing hook i dont know how but i get raped by those ********. i have played as the insurgents and thats how know . this is how it goes the muj insurgents are over estimated and the USMC is underestimated. and i bet your the one on the muj team raping with RPGs and IEDs cuz u couldnt get kills fighting rifle to rifle. so i wouldnt expect a person like YOU to know ANYTHING about ground warfare. where are u from? i just want to know cuz i love that anti-american comment.
