Is there anyway I can play PRARMA offline?? I am only able to get onto servers when they are busy, but would like to practice a few things first before I go online (i.e. helicopter cargo load/unload etc)
Have tried setting up my own server, put I get a message "this server settings are not suitable for pvp, the server will close in 30 seconds"... not long enough to practice helicopter stuff...

ANy ideas?

On the mission selection screen, ensure you select the difficulty level as Expert and you should be good.

The Merlin mission included in BAF is great for practicing, with randomly generated transport objectives.

Tested it, didn't even get close to the expectations after such a long waiting period. Little content, some scripting, and nothing that ACE 2 didn't already bring. Sorry, but this isn't even scratching on any other conversion mod for ArmA 2.

Please re-read the initial post, and you will see we have not actually being developing for 18 months.

Also bear in mind this is a beta, and is to test gameplay mainly ....... NOT a conversion Mod at this stage.

Either way your entitled to your opinions, but please bear these points in mind

Afaik ACE have been in developement for ages and still constantly evolving, wheras PR-Arma just stepped in.Furthemore the fact alone, that you can join any server at any time, with plenty of ppl actually playing, without passwords / mod's and errors hassle, is not a bad achievement at all for starter.
I guess we should understand simple fact, that if ones expectations are too high, we might be as well looking at buying from studios/publishers that actually charge for their work.

And even than we might get dissapointed

^^^ Exactly.I can come home and jump into a game.Join a squad and voila its fun time.Ace on the other hand....my goodness it took me a week to just get it installed and then no squad would want a nobody to just join them so it was SP only for me.

Exactly. PR:A2 makes the game easier and much more accesible. Unlike mods like ACE that combine hundreds of mods and even have to name their releases as "Stable" and then you'll only get a decent game once you learn the whole thing, join a clan, train and then finaly get into the game to be sniped by a bot.

We need to have OA to play PR? I didn't think OA even added anything besides content.

Yes, you need both A2 and OA.

And OA added a lot of gameplay features when it came out. I think some of them were later added in free patches to A2, but OA is still well worth owning.

I don't see why it was necessary to build the mod off of OA, and I personally think the way ArmA has done their updates is a bit of a rip-off. Especially when compared to the other series like Red Orchestra.

OK... I have been playing PRARMA for a couple of weeks now..... getting to grips with it all..... but seems that the numbers playing are already falling off.... all UK servers nearly empty during weekend daytime....

What is the feedback procedure, so that we can keep the ball rolling, keep momentum??.... I've heard too many comments along the lines of "Dominik520". "Its just another MOD".....
