Ok guys... We've come to the conclusion that we need new US grunt voices, cause many have complained that the current ones are very annoying (no offence). But yeah... If you're willing to start sending me some samples (you already know what quality I want as posted in 1st post) or if you have a friend that is willing, dont hesitate to start working on that...

Thx guys! :)

Wut ?? I love them ! What reasons did the people who find them annoying give ?

Maybe the Gooow Goow Goooow ! is a bit exaggerated, but the rest is totally fine !

Well Im not disliking them. There are some that are abit "unserious". But as Ive heard many complaints both from public and within the team i wanted to see if theres some other volonteer around.

Ok ! I guess I gotta be US native to be able to judge this.

Talking about voices, IMO the french SL voices sound as insipid as the BF2 vanilla ones. Know that I think the work done is really good, and the sound quality is perfect, it's just that, as a french, I feel those sounds miss some realism and a bit of action. Sometimes it sounds like someone reciting his text without liveliness.

However they're not annoying at all. It's just a small feedback, but surely nothing that would actually hurt the game experience.

PS : anders you got my pm about the swap of two sounds I sent to you ?

Agree.. I tried to tell him to yell a little more, but often people forget to inject the "fake adrenaline" and they find it too safe when recoding sounds. Its hard, yes and not all can be actors, but mostly people can atleast figure out how they would feel when in a middle of a battlefield, when things are going off and they need to raise their voices to get heard and the adrenaline is pumping and the freight.

Yep... Ill look into it... Will be in the next update shipment coming soon.. :)

I know a lot of people from other nationalities (I'm one myself) and I have a lot of places and instruments to record it with, we can record it in a semi-professional studio or rehearsal-rooms in the Theater/Cultural Center (it's damn cheap, like 10 euro per day). My friend is a sound-engineer

I might look in Gent for people from artist-schools to be as voice-actors. I know a couple of actors.
They're not professionals, but still, it might be interesting hearing new dialects and voices

I'd be able to get;
-Russian/Slavic voices; so maybe Serbian/Bosnian/etc
for Militia?

-Caucasian; Nakh (Chechens), Georgian, Armenian, etc..
for Militia?

-Turkish; Kazakh, Tatar, Turkish, etc..
for Militia? MEC?

-Arab; Lebanon, Maroccan, etc..
For MEC? maybe use another dialect for Insurgents?

-Persian; Pashto, Farsi, maybe Tajik
for MEC? Insurgents?

-French; I live near the border of France and Wallony, and the region is also full of people whoms
for French or Africans?

-Dutch; Flemish Dutch

-German

-Chinese; Mandarin

-Korean

I only have to organize it, if there are Belgian people in West-Flanders that would like to help or just be there, you're welcome! Just send a PM.

I'm about 90% procent sure I can get it done, but it'll take some time to find the good people that are willing to do it :/

Up in Antwerp here, but got a car I can lend so I can always come and help for a day if you need somebody to hold the mic ? :)

Levantine Arabic would be awesome to have for the Syrian COMFAC :)

It would be nice! Especially if you're close/one of the to the PR-devs.

I just need someone to evaluate it. It would be useless to hear that more than the half of it is not good enough.

The material quality will be good, as I said, we have good recording stuff, the acting quality will be something difficult to promise :D

Update; there's one Chinese person from my class that more or less accepted to do it, but he speaks Cantonese, which is a bit different than Mandarin in the sense of pronouncation

Good news: I got a studio setup with a studio microphone and everything nearly setup. Do you guys need any voice actors?

I can try to do multiple voices, but the setup isn't complete yet as it is missing the filter thing that goes on the mic which will come soon in the mail. I'll PM you anders with samples when I get the time to do them.

And Arab, I always get confused by your name? What languages do you speak? :D

Maybe you could do the Iranian voices for the Taliban, it's more similar to Pashtun than Arabic.

That would be a good idea, Taliban is indeed Pashtun
